Can’t say it saddens me.

Nitgel · 11/04/2024 15:56

fieldsofbutterflies · 11/04/2024 15:57

Oh dear.

Allmarbleslost · 11/04/2024 15:59

Devastating

CurlsnSunshinetime4tea · 11/04/2024 16:02

Interesting

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 11/04/2024 16:05

Crying shame. I still remember the photos of Nicole's bruised face on TV as a child.

tobee · 11/04/2024 16:09

Don't know what his name and trial means to younger mumsnetters

The man that proved that money can get you off with murder

NeverDropYourMooncup · 11/04/2024 16:09

Never mind. What's for tea?

acatcalledjohn · 11/04/2024 16:13

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

MoonWoman69 · 11/04/2024 16:14

One idiot less, hey ho!

susiedaisy1912 · 11/04/2024 16:15

Good riddance

ShadowBeam · 11/04/2024 16:16

I thought he was already deceased.

hennybeans · 11/04/2024 16:22

I grew up in California. I can remember watching his Bronco chase live on tv and listening to the not guilty verdict live on the radio in school. It was really incredible that he got away with everything.

Wisterical · 11/04/2024 16:23

Well that's no loss to humanity.

I watched pretty much all of his trial live here in London as was on maternity leave with my first dc.

The whole thing became a hideous circus.

May he rot in hell. "Surrounded by his children" - I hope not Nicole Brown's 2.

Geebray · 11/04/2024 16:28

I hope he didn't want to die.

Tyiue · 11/04/2024 16:30

I'm sad for all his children. Whatever he did or didn't do is sadly going to be rehashed a million and one times now. May he rest in peace.

SherrieElmer · 11/04/2024 16:32

A grave worth spitting at.

cariadlet · 11/04/2024 16:32

He was a wife abuser and murderer who got away with it because he was rich and successful.

He doesn't deserve to rest in peace.

"The You're Wrong About" podcast had a great series of episodes about the case. I learned a lot about his poor wife.

Westfacing · 11/04/2024 16:34

Until the murders he was totally unknown in the UK, then overnight we had saturation coverage of the Bronco chase, lead up to the trial and then the trial itself. The verdict was announced live on the evening news - interest here was totally hyped-up by the media; probably a watershed moment in the media's obsession with celebrity and having to fill 24-hour news.

He had a history of beating his wife, and guilty as hell in my opinion.

He wasn't totally unknown in the UK?! Plenty of people knew him as a successful sportsman, and then as an actor in Airplane.

LauderSyme · 11/04/2024 16:35

@Tyiue Rest in peace?! How does he deserve to rest in peace?

He was a psychopath who abused, killed and lied and enjoyed it all immensely.

Good riddance.

SnapdragonToadflax · 11/04/2024 16:36

I find it extremely distasteful that the BBC live news roll is talking about his 'illustrious sporting career' before the trial. Many adults readers will be too young to remember. I'm only just old enough at 42.
