I’ll start with Ryan Reynolds. He honestly seems completely down to earth, responsive to his fans and likes to have a good joke at his own expense

Talking of smug Beckham and the gift that keeps giving, Katie Price:
Does anyone remember years ago when she claimed he squeezed her hand behind Victoria's back?
It was during a line up at some event or other.
Hmm..

Oh goodness no. I’ve heard some shocking stories about his predatory antics at parties.

There’s a big difference between appearing “nice” to the general public or if they interact with general public and at work and what they get up to outside work.

Steve Backshall is supposed to be a huge womaniser and used prostitutes a lot in far flung locations yet he’s supposed to be a nice man if you meet him in person whilst not being filmed.

Wouldn’t put it past him at all.

I don't like David Beckham, I find him as you say smug and I'm positive he has been unfaithful to Victoria many, many times. However, I would not put ANY stock in what Katie Price says about anything. She has looked like an old boot for years now, I very much doubt that DB would be remotely interested in her.

She's a walking contradiction....

Doesn't have one night stands - has sex with Gareth Gates.

Takes the mickey out of cross dresser ex, thinks he's gross, yet dates JJ who dates transexuals

I can vouch for Konnie Huq and her husband Charlie Brooker. Very down to earth people.

Shappi Korsandi sneers and looks down at people. Very rude woman.

Chris Martin went over and above for a friend of a friend who when he was working for him and had some very unexpected sad news.

I bumped into Shappi on a night out once. Quite literally. She was blind drunk and barging around all over the place.

Ryan Gosling gives the impression of being a nice person.

Newgreendress · 05/04/2024 23:58

Liam Neeson seems to be a very decent man

Agree with many obv ones: Dolly Parton, Colin Firth, Ryan Gosling, Andy Murray

YesYesAllGood · 06/04/2024 00:18

Gary Sinise. I was very, very sorry to hear about him losing his son to cancer earlier this year. 😔

Blueink · 06/04/2024 00:25

George Michael - personally did something lovely for me. So sad he is gone too soon.

Dermot O’Leary - lovely energy about him

Cyndy Lauper - down to earth, not a Diva, inspiring spokeswoman

Never met Paul O’Grady but agree he was inspiring and Rod since he stopped voting Tory which is inspiring in itself 😅

Bonbon249 · 06/04/2024 00:38

Let's not forget David Tennant, Joanna Lumley and Judi Dench - all seem like lovely people.

I met Paul McCartney last year at my son's graduation ceremony in Liverpool (Proud mommy). Paul walked in and the theatre was packed, I stood out a little way from my seat in the disabled row, to watch him descend the first staircase, but he walked straight past the first staircase, along the disabled row and he said hello to me and I was really chuffed, he then descended the second staircase. He stood there on the stage and said that his mom had died when he was a teenager and said that she had never seen him come to fame, and how nice it was to see all the parents and families at the ceremony. He also said that when he tours, his crew are all like family to him and how he appreciates them all. He seems a genuine nice guy and supports and encourages all the students at his university (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). My son's degree is in Technical Theatre (Sounds, Lights and AV), as singers/actors/dancers and musicians can't perform in the dark - they need someone there to turn the sound and lights on for them!!

Another vote for Paul McCartney. My dp used to work at his place in Peasemarsh and Paul would always stop and chat to him if he was around. DP says Linda was lovely as well.

I know someone who went to school with one of the children from Paul's first marriage. That person and a few people I know say that Paul and Linda always behaved like any other parents, never expected preferential treatment.
(Paul and Linda sent their kids to local state schools; Heather insisted their daughter went private).

Henning Wehn lives in the next town to me and dp has got to know him. I've met HW a couple of times and he's a nice bloke.

I think rich people should pay for their. Children's education. Schools are too stretched

I still remember the comment about Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall or whatever his name is and have spread that rumour quite a lot Grin] ahh when mumsnet was good.

The lovely late Terry Wogan used to call him Hugh Furry Whippingstick….
mKe of that what you will… 😳😂

alcoholicmum243 · 06/04/2024 04:28

Taylor Swift
JKR
Liam Neeson

I always think Paul O Grady came across as a wonderful man. That said he was best friends with Cilla who was by all accounts, a horror. Makes me pause as I wonder what he was like on holiday on the Spanish holidays they took together over many years.

JC50 · 06/04/2024 06:47

Paul Heaton, top bloke, keeps his ticket prices low, has put money behind the bar before gigs for fans, money behind the bar across the country for his birthday too. He offered his back catalogue to be nationalised as he said he has enough money (the government declined 🙄).

Sandra Bullock
Alan Rickman
Mel C
