I’ll start with Ryan Reynolds. He honestly seems completely down to earth, responsive to his fans and likes to have a good joke at his own expense

Billy Connolly, Andy Murray and David Tennant all seem very genuine.
I once attended an event where Princess Anne was a guest and I was hugely impressed. She made the effort to talk with everyone there, including unimportant ones like me.
David Beckham is a thumbs down from me. Apart from seeming extremely vain, I remember when his emails were revealed talking about his rage in not getting a knighthood, abusing all the selectors who turned him down and bitching about Kathleen Jenkins who had got an honour.
Also, just because wealthy people give money to charities doesn’t necessarily mean they are nice. It’s done to minimise their tax bills.

Erm No - just No !
or was that sarcasm …….

SneezeMcQueen · 05/04/2024 20:22

Used to work with celebrities.

The good ones?
There are so many 🤔

Definitely Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling.

From GoT: Sophie Turner, Emilia Clark, Peter Dinklage and Conleth Hill get a special mention.
Though in general the cast were great people, only two of the cast (not mentioned here) were less than great to work with.

You won't believe this one; Eminem in person is very modest, generous, thoughtful and kind.

That was ref- Cilla Black
never whiter than white 🙀

Aprilmaymum · 05/04/2024 20:25

Katie price is actually a really nice down to earth person. Yes her actions are a lot to be desired but she is honest and when in public is friendly . Below that tough exterior and her insecurities she is really nice

Ok Katie.

Oh and Gary Oldman is a true gent, no matter the prosthetics he spent hours in, hunger, thirst, any of the day or night. Unfailingly professional and no ego.

Kerensa70 · 05/04/2024 20:33

My brother worked with Dave Grohl on a book thing, loved him. Big family man and great manners he said. I agree about George Michael, kept a lot of charity work private .

cremebrulait · 05/04/2024 20:34

Drew Barrymore

SRK!

JayJayj · 05/04/2024 20:40

Keanu Reeves. Tom hanks. Ricky Gervais JK Rowling,

battgirlatheart · 05/04/2024 20:48

Donny Osmond is a sweetheart I’m a big fan and see and chat with him often

Callipygion · 05/04/2024 20:57

I think Paul McCartney has done well to stay as grounded as he appears, seen as he’s 82(or nearly ?) and been mega world wide famous since he was 21.

What about Joe Lycette? He always seems to come across as a good bloke, although very right wing. 🤣

Joe Lycett is a twit. He made a big deal about Beckham going to Qatar and pretended to shred £10,000, only for it to transpire that he had been to Qatar himself in previous years!! You couldn't make it up. I'm not sure about right wing, though. More lefty woke hypocrite.

JKR, Stacey Solomon, Stacey Dooley, Fiona Bruce, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Cher.

Not sure Tom Hanks is particularly pleasant, if i recall correctly. I remember seeing a clip of him with his wife on the red carpet, with them both arguing about something angrily at someone.

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 05/04/2024 21:09

Michael J Fox seems really good, a very stoical, intelligent, and genuine person. He's my childhood hero and now my role model in adulthood, as I love how he faces Parkinson's disease with such gumption. He gives me the inspiration to face my neurological involuntary movement disorder with strength too.

MaybeRevisitYourWipingT3chnique · 05/04/2024 21:24

Henning Wehn lives in the next town to me and dp has got to know him. I've met HW a couple of times and he's a nice bloke.

I can 100% believe this. He comes across as a highly intelligent person who can think for himself and doesn't just toe the line of what he 'should' say or believe to stay out of trouble. However, he's always respectful and reasoned, and will discuss matters with people who disagree with him rather than just throwing mud and running away.

MaybeRevisitYourWipingT3chnique · 05/04/2024 21:26

I don't think anybody has mentioned Dave Gorman yet, have they? I can't imagine he'd have an ounce of nastiness or self-importance in him - my money would be on him being a great, genuine bloke.

If it's the same one I remember, Tom Hanks was angry because a fan or photographer almost knocked his wife over trying to get near him. Which is fair enough.

Stephen Graham
Paul O’G
Dave Grohl
David Beckham
Sadio Mane
Joanna Lumley
Emma Thompson
Emilia Clarke

Stephen Graham - oh yes! I would have agreed with you re Sadio Mane and what a great example he was to other footballers until I saw the age difference between him and his wife.

What's Hannah Waddingham like? She comes across as a wonderful fun and kind person.

She's definitely a fab mum. That cardboard clutch she took to the SAG awards because her daughter made it 💕

That reminds me - was a big fan of Noel Fitzpatrick until I realised he has a reputation for only donating somewhat younger women...rather took the shine off. I also keep hearing that he has a bit of a surgeons 'god complex' (hope not)

Michael Sheen seems to have a keen interest in supporting others.

Completely agree

She was mentioned by several people who'd gone to the same school as her on another celeb thread. She didn't come across as quite the nicest person, to put it mildly.

She may be completely different now as an adult, of course.

Mysterian · 05/04/2024 21:58

Lot's of people talking about Ricky Gervais. Have people forgotten him posting photos with what he called his "mong" face? And then he ignored Mencap's and other people with disabilities pleas for him to stop. And then his followers waded in by insulting the complainants and he did nothing.

Nice guy.

Not really, that was sarcasm.

TheComplexBear · 04/04/2024 13:44

I like to think Graham Norton is genuinely nice. He comes across so well in both his show and books.

Oh goodness no. I’ve heard some shocking stories about his predatory antics at parties.
