Me and DH bemoaning the fact that we haven't been out for dinner for ages. DS wants to this week as an Easter treat. We're now at loggerheads. DS wants Wagas. I want Pizza Express. DH wants Thai.

Where did you go last and, more importantly, what did you have??

Last week to a local Japanese restaurant as I couldn’t be bothered to cook

We used to eat out on a weekly basis however it’s gotten so expensive that it’s much rarer for us nowadays and more of a treat/special occasion thing. I’m siding with your DS - love a good Waga!

Last Friday, to the local pub for lasagne and garlic bread. I hardly ever go out for dinner so it was great!

The last time I went out for dinner was December. I went to Carrigan's. I had sweet and sour chicken, rice and chips, 2 cokes, and a galaxy fudge cake and ice cream.

We went to Toby Carvery on Mothers Day , me and my 16 Yr old..2 carverys , pint of lager and a coke.. £38 !!
The carvery was £15 each and the meat was cut so thin ... it hasn't inspired me to go back again anytime soon !

We are from NI and went to Toby Carvery last time we were in England to see what all of the fuss was about and since it was handy to our hotel.. don’t think I’ve ever been more underwhelmed in my life!!

Weekend before Easter, went to wagamama as DS likes it. We go out to eat once or twice a month.

Happyharper · 03/04/2024 19:32

Pizza on Monday night. We normally go out to eat a couple of times a week as we're DINKs living in central London (but not for long as I'm pregnant!) trying to make the most of it while we can!

We often do cheap eats like dim sum /pizza / burgers and then splurge occasionally on something special. We don't like going to mid range high street places as they are so expensive for what they are!

Queijo · 03/04/2024 19:32

We go out once a week usually. Only independent restaurants though as I’m very anti-chains!

ohtowinthelottery · 03/04/2024 19:33

Good Friday to a small Italian restaurant. We never eat at chain restaurants.

bingoringo4 · 03/04/2024 19:34

My kids took me out for an Italian on Mother's Day.

jackles · 03/04/2024 19:35

Great new tapas restaurant last week- can't wait to go again.

shellyleppard · 03/04/2024 19:36

On my birthday we ate at the hotel, expensive but really enjoyed it x (expensive by my standards anyway 🤣🤣🤣🤣) myself and two teenagers 🤣🤣

tigerbear · 03/04/2024 19:39

This eve! In Paris, typical French brasserie type of place. Had steak, fried potatoes, green beans, then a sugar crepe 😛😋

Usernamewassavedsuccessfully · 03/04/2024 19:39

Saturday, went for Italian.
I've given up on pizza express, it's so expensive now.

NCForQuestions · 03/04/2024 19:40

Friday to the restaurant of a chef who won The Great British Menu. To eat that set meal!

Saturday we fell into a tapas place, ate well and drank too much wine....

MessyNeate · 03/04/2024 19:41

Last Thursday evening to a local bistro with friends

zebrapig · 03/04/2024 19:41

Last weekend, Saturday Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Sunday Wagamamas. That's us done for weeks now!

OldTinHat · 03/04/2024 19:42

Last week to a local college. They have a restaurant and do amazing three course meals for a tenner.

Pillowfights · 03/04/2024 19:42

Does lunch at a National Trust property count? If so, Monday, cheese & ham toastie and a bag of crisps.

If not then Friday at a gastro pub and had focaccia to share with a couple
of pesto type dips then the most amazing belly pork with dauphinois potatoes & 1carrot & 1 spear of broccoli & a large glass of Chablis to wash it all down🤣

We don't eat out anywhere near as often as we used to so last weekend was a treat.

Winnading · 03/04/2024 19:44

We went to the nearest everyman cinema, I had a pizza and wine then a brownie.
About £30 including cinema ticket.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 03/04/2024 19:44

Last time I went out for dinner was November, that's a bit depressing. Went to a local restaurant. A'la carte style food.

NormalForNuneaton · 03/04/2024 19:44

Saturday night with friends to one of the Lounges (part of CosyClub chain) for tapas and cocktails.

Curlyblondefemale · 03/04/2024 19:48

We went to a local Chinese restaurant on Friday with our neighbours, was delicious.
This used to be a monthly thing but due to cost of living it's now every two months.

Kapaj · 03/04/2024 19:49

2019.....I think.
