Me and DH bemoaning the fact that we haven't been out for dinner for ages. DS wants to this week as an Easter treat. We're now at loggerheads. DS wants Wagas. I want Pizza Express. DH wants Thai.

Where did you go last and, more importantly, what did you have??

Last weekend to an Italian, we eat out too much very regularly.

NancyJoan · 03/04/2024 21:10

Met a friend for Thai last Tues, and on Easter Sunday went out for brunch with DH and the kids. Will go out for dinner again this weekend.

GigiAnnna · 03/04/2024 21:13

February, Indian.

NotFastButFurious · 03/04/2024 21:14

A week last Saturday - went to a poncy French place and also went out for pizza the night before.

Tarkan · 03/04/2024 21:15

Spoons with DH and friends before a quiz night a few weeks ago. Going out with family for a nice meal out this weekend coming. We often go out for birthdays etc. with DH, my kids, my parents, brother and SIL although might be cutting back on that a bit this year.

DH and I often have a pub meal together if we go to the footy although not for every match. It's our anniversary next month and we're going away for a long weekend so trying to plan some nice places to go (although probably mixed with Spoons to average the cost out a bit).

MolkosTeenageAngst · 03/04/2024 21:15

Tonight. South Indian restaurant.

ThePoshUns · 03/04/2024 21:17

Just popped to our local pub tonight as couldn't be bothered to cook

YYURYYUCICYYUR4ME · 03/04/2024 21:39

Sunday, local pub for lunch. Definitely a treat, as not cheap! I'd avoid Pizza Express, as we were given a voucher for Christmas and popped in and it was a very disappointing meal and ridiculously expensive for the lack of ingredients on the base (we were playing spot the topping), alongside awful service and a mucky environment.

WandaWonder · 03/04/2024 21:42

I hate going out for dinner, sure breakfast and lunch we go out heaps but not dinner if we can help it

EventuallyDecluttered · 03/04/2024 21:43

Tonight, to a pub. I had scampi and chips.

MrKDilkington · 03/04/2024 21:43

Tonight! Fish pie for me, mussells for DH. We're at the seaside for a few days.

RobbieisWright · 03/04/2024 21:43

Good Friday to a local pub for lunch and off out Saturday for Italian

mindutopia · 03/04/2024 21:45

We don’t go out for dinner often. Special occasions only really as everything is a bit of a drive and I generally like my cooking better anyway. So it’s maybe a handful of times a year. But last time was ds’s birthday meal in February (fancy fish and chips).

Dd and I are home together for a girls weekend though and we’re going out for a meal this weekend. It will either be a nice seafood restaurant at the beach (with a sea swim for me - though weather looking rubbish!) or maybe Indian for their Sunday buffet.

S72 · 03/04/2024 21:51

I haven't eaten dinner out in 2024 yet. The weeks are flying past this year.

Justabadwife · 03/04/2024 22:01

Last Saturday to a local burger/pizza place with a friend
The Saturday before to a Texas roadhouse thing- for one of my friends DCs birthday
(Then we had McDonald's for dessert)
The Saturday before that me and same group of friends no DC went to a vegetarian restaurant then to the pub.

I am going out again on Friday with the same group of friends.

BarrelOfOtters · 03/04/2024 22:02

Eat ‘out out’ once a week or so, usually independents as don’t have many chains near us. Been visiting family this weekend in the Lakes and ate some cracking food in gastro pubs and restaurants, but it ain’t cheap.

do love a Wagamama though, it does hit the spot sometimes, though I’m sure it used to be more protein and veg and less rice or noodles.

MaryFuckingFerguson · 03/04/2024 22:08

Friday. London. Michelin starred restaurant. Obscenely expensive but it was a treat.

But we do eat out a lot. At least once a week. Usually a local pub or restaurant.

PutOnYourRedShoesAndLetsDance · 03/04/2024 22:15

Monday lunch to the pub ( we don't drink.. went for food). We usually go for a curry or Chinese on a Saturday night.

SanFranBear · 03/04/2024 22:17

Last Wednesday as it was payday.. rarely eat out!

Had the most incredible fish stew at this independent Italian place with big jug of cocktails! Amazing...

Mumofyellows · 03/04/2024 22:23

Sunday night for a curry at our lovely local Indian, with DH and DD to celebrate her being home for her Uni holidays.
I love Indian food 😋

NorthernMouse · 03/04/2024 22:26

Mother’s Day to a local pizza place. Was much nicer and noticeably cheaper than pizza express.

Went to pizza express in Feb as I had a (generic) voucher for Christmas. £50 voucher and I still paid £70 on top of that for 4 people! One on the child’s menu and only one alcoholic drink. And all veggie so not the most expensive things on the menu. And service wasn’t great. Really not worth it anymore.

caringcarer · 03/04/2024 22:30

On Sunday we had a little dinner party at our favourite Italian for DH retirement. OnTuesday we went for a carvery. Today I had lunch out with my sisters. I don't normally have 3 meals out in 4 days.

Mindovermatter247 · 03/04/2024 22:35

Well was supposed to go out yesterday for my birthday but due to traffic carnage getting out of our town, just got takeout.

last went out 2 weekends ago, DP 40th weekend in london.
fri - hard rock cafe
sat- street burger by Gordon Ramsay and we also had some food at Camden market earlier in the day.
sun - the old brewery in Greenwich… absolutely amazing that was.

RaininSummer · 03/04/2024 22:36

Couple of months ago. Disappointing as usual.

Nannyfannybanny · 03/04/2024 22:42

Depends what time of the day. I say lunch mid day,DH, ,calls that dinner. Last month on his Birthday, mid day meal. Dinner to me, evening meal, before the pandemic. Carvery, because we can put exactly what we want on the plate.
