Air fryer drawers…be honest?

How often do you clean yours out?

I use silicon liners, however I still wash the drawers out.
If you use a rub or a topping on whatever you're cooking, the air swirls it all around the drawer....even the oil gets blown around!

It takes a few seconds to wash the drawers out

I have a basic entry-level fryer from Lidl. An 8" diameter, deep pyrex container just fits in it, and I cook everything in that - and bung it in the dishwasher after.

Every time and put them in the dishwasher occasionally. I clean them just as I would clean a pan after using it.

I have the paper liners and silicon liners so hardly ever

The bit that touches the food, most times I use it (it just goes in the dishwasher). The outer bit that doesn't touch the food, I just wipe and then occasionally put it in the dishwasher.

I had a halogen type one years ago and it actually blew up after being used twice without being cleaned in between. Blush I hated that thing though. It wasn't any better or faster than my full oven and the bowl was massive, heavy and awkward to clean.

We have a drawer type one now and it's cleaned after every use unless it's something that isn't messy like boiled eggs or something in a dish (I fry eggs in a flat ramekin with a bit of oil for example). I've learned my lesson and I actually really like this air fryer so don't want to blow it up. Grin

Never cleaned it. Adds to the flavour 😆

Every time I've used it. Rinse it out with Fairy liquid then leave to drain/dry.

Mine has shelves so I use a bit of baking paper on them

FlipFlops4Me · 04/04/2024 17:56

I have liners, don't use much oil at all and just pop it in the dishwasher after use. If I didn't have the dishwasher I'd just fill it with warm soapy water when I dished up and wash it out after I'd eaten.

Every time. I put water and washing up liquid in and put it on for 5 mins then rinse.
