Which seemingly small chore do you find overwhelming

For me it's getting the bags in and sorted after work/school/nursery. My boot is full of stuff I need to get in and sort and it's such an annoying job I'm just sat here watching Alvin and the chipmunks instead. Doesn't help that it's my birthday and Easter so there's loads more stuff to take out and sort 😅

Food preparation. I absolutely hate anything to do with cooking etc. Ds is leaving for uni this autumn so I'll probably just live off cereal and crisps 😂

Washing the chopping board when it's been left all mucky and covered in bits. Gives me rage.

Vacuuming . . . . I loathe the thought of it and hate lugging the vacuum cleaner up my very steep staircase 😒

Meal planning.

I use to enjoy it when my kids were little and I worked part time. I had a proper weekly menu and everything <polishes Mum badge>

Now I work full time and they’re older teens, one is fussy and the other is on some sort of high-protein gym nonsense diet and they go out at short notice and decide they ‘don’t want anything, actually’…and I JUST CANNOT BE ARSED.

My worst jobs around the house (and ones I do very rarely) are:

Inside of windows
skirting boards
cleaning showers/baths

Hate hate hate

Putting away clean laundry. I have no problem setting off washing, putting it in the tumble dryer or hanging on the line, and then folding up dry laundry into the basket. But there’s something about putting all the clothes away in drawers and wardrobes that just fills me with dread! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hoovering the bloody stairs!! I always hurt myself in some idiotic way…I totally loathe it!! Luckily DP does it for me.
Also hoovering the car… it goes to a lovely car wash place and they work miracles! I end up with skinned knuckles if I attempt it. Henry Hoover and I have a rocky relationship….

Meal planning.

One DC only likes spicy/exotic food (no roast dinners or similar)
One DC only likes fairly plain food (eg roast dinners)
Both DCs like pasta
DH hates pasta
I'm trying to low carb

We all come home from work and college at different times every day and most of us go out most evenings to either socialise or exercise often at short notice. It's completely impossible to plan for.

I like vacuuming, it’s very satisfying.
I hate ironing, and the mountains of clean laundry that only I seem to put away.
The thing I really find overwhelming though is booking a holiday. I do appreciate I’m lucky to do it, but… the stress! The cost! Where to go?? Knowing is it’s crap it’s all my fault, the pressure of something that should be nice is my nemesis. 😂
