For me it's getting the bags in and sorted after work/school/nursery. My boot is full of stuff I need to get in and sort and it's such an annoying job I'm just sat here watching Alvin and the chipmunks instead. Doesn't help that it's my birthday and Easter so there's loads more stuff to take out and sort 😅

Me too, I live in a flat so not too bad you'd think, but it's a first floor flat and the stairs with a Henry is a joke. That's DH's department now😁

OutOfTheHouse · 27/03/2024 20:49

Putting away my gym clothes. I wear a fresh set every time and wash them at the end of the week. I fold and put them away so it alternates tops and bottoms. I hate it. I’ve got no idea why.

EmeraldRoses · 27/03/2024 20:50

Hoovering and then steam mopping the kitchen floor, just cannot be bothered
Washing the kids water bottles every night ready for next day.
Getting their stuff out the car after school.
Ironing
Putting clean washing away
Emptying this dishwasher

Chypre · 27/03/2024 20:52

Anything to do with rubbish and bins. Indoor bins are clean and zoflorized, so there is no foul smell or anything, but I just loathe it. The recycling bin with all the crinkly plastics that have to go into the council issued bags, the black bin for the rubbish AND the food waste caddy. Last one is not collected by the council but I still prefer to separate the food waste from the other rubbish as its "wet" (tea bags, peelings, etc). Blue/black/garden bins are all collected on alternate weeks so its never-ending bin wrangle.

Benjaminsniddlegrass · 27/03/2024 20:55

I mean all of it, I hate cleaning but putting away clean clothes is the worst, I think there's more clothes in my clean pile than in my wardrobe right now! I just walked past it and made a commitment to do it.... tomorrow

FenellaBestwick · 27/03/2024 20:56

Programming the boiler... Grin I have manually switched it on and off EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for about two years because I can't be arsed to program the little timer box..

Runnerduck34 · 27/03/2024 20:57

Loads of small jobs!
Putting ironing away
Unpacking shopping
Emptying bins
Emptying dishwasher
And totally get the school bag/ lunch box rage- but my DC are now older!

bilgewater · 27/03/2024 20:58

Everything. Am in my fifties, have been 'keeping house' for more than 30 years, and am very much over it all.

Agree that putting duvet covers back on has a special place in hell.

PickledMuffin · 27/03/2024 20:58

putting the bin out. people say it's the man's job, but I do it (or we would live in a pile of rubbish)

LawrieForShepherdsBoy · 27/03/2024 20:59

Washing my hair

dothehokeycokey · 27/03/2024 21:00

The relentless piles of clean washing to take upstairs sort into piles, pair socks up and then put in the right bedrooms

Gives me the rage 😡

I bought a cordless shark hoover and a robot hoover because dragging a heavy hoover round whilst getting caught up with the cables or getting the cable wedged in stuff fills me with rage aswell Confused

I only strip one bed at a time and rotate the days we do it or I get cranky Blush

Cleaning the shower screen aarrggghhhhh

I rinse it down every night when I shower so it's clean but the devil teen and tween then shower and throw a litre of conditioner or hair mask all over the god damn glass after me so by the time it's morning it's stuck like shit to a blanket again ggrrrr

LoobyDop · 27/03/2024 21:00

Packing toiletries to go away, even for one night. Find the whole business of decanting and working out what I still need to use before I go very stressful.

recklessgran · 27/03/2024 21:02

Putting the shopping away.
It never fits - there's always a few biscuits that won't fit in the tin or a small amount of sugar that won't fit in the cannister Arrgh!!
I never know what to put in the fridge and what to freeze.
Sometimes I've forgotton to sort out the fridge so need to do that and give it a wipe before putting in the new supplies.
Yep. Just find all this trying and I don't know why because I'm generally easy going but all this gives me THE RAGE!!

Kurokurosuke · 27/03/2024 21:06

all of them. I k ie they only take a few minutes. I know I feel better when I have done them than when I don’t. I think it’s because no matter how many times you do it, it need to be done again.

Laundry, cooking, washing up. As soon as it’s done it needs doing again. I love cooking, but sometimes it feels Sisyphean. 😅

gigigig · 27/03/2024 21:07

Hanging washing outside!

IVFendomum · 27/03/2024 21:07

Causewerethespecialtwo · 27/03/2024 19:12

Putting away clean laundry. I have no problem setting off washing, putting it in the tumble dryer or hanging on the line, and then folding up dry laundry into the basket. But there’s something about putting all the clothes away in drawers and wardrobes that just fills me with dread! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Same. We have two small kids in a two bedroom flat and our stuff no longer fits in the storage we have. Putting clothes away stresses me out so much as there’s not actually space for it all to go 😪

we are trying to sell up and move!

IVFendomum · 27/03/2024 21:08

Hanging washing outside!

Oh I love hanging washing outside! One of my fave jobs I’d say 😅

IVFendomum · 27/03/2024 21:09

Dressing my four year boy also gives me rage as he cannot physically stand still for half a second. He’s like a puppy on red bull.

Tubbyinthehottub · 27/03/2024 21:13

Filing my nails. I put it off for ages because in my mind, it's such a massive chore. I don't even like longer nails but find it hard to motivate myself to carry out this simple and fairly rapid task.

Halloweenrainbow · 27/03/2024 21:13

Taking out the recycling. I live in a very windy and rainy part of Scotland and there's never a good day to tip the dry rubbish into the outside bin. Its always a battle with the lid blowing up and carboard flying everywhere. I always come back to the house soaking wet, wind swept and harassed.

moleyholey · 27/03/2024 21:14

Hanging up washing on the clothes horse, for some reason I just really hate this.

dudsville · 27/03/2024 21:15

I must say, for me it's everything since the pandemic. I thought i had a way i liked to do things, but i lost it in the pandemic and now am having to consciously make q concerted effort.

greektreacle · 27/03/2024 21:17

Mopping. Putting clean laundry away. Ironing. Thinking about what to have for dinner. Cleaning work surfaces in the kitchen.

I do however love doing stuff like cleaning the ceiling or dusting the plug sockets. Stuff that nobody will ever notice or pay attention to. Sod having something to eat, DID YOU SEE HOW THE SKIRTING BOARDS GLEAM?
