Which seemingly small chore do you find overwhelming

For me it's getting the bags in and sorted after work/school/nursery. My boot is full of stuff I need to get in and sort and it's such an annoying job I'm just sat here watching Alvin and the chipmunks instead. Doesn't help that it's my birthday and Easter so there's loads more stuff to take out and sort 😅

I’ve really started to hate cooking. It’s such a chore sometimes.

whatapickle12 · 27/03/2024 19:17

Cleaning the shower

junebirthdaygirl · 27/03/2024 19:21

All of the above really but my worst is matching socks! I can never keep them together. There are socks everywhere. I do a big clear out the odd ones and then find their match next day and l nearly cry!!

IsGoodIsDon · 27/03/2024 19:22

Taking donations to the charity shop after a clear out

GameOfJones · 27/03/2024 19:24

Definitely putting away clean washing. I'm very good at washing it, drying it and folding it into a laundry basket once dry.

9 times out of 10 it then sits there and I just fish clothes out of it to wear rather than the wardrobe 🤣

Peppermint81 · 27/03/2024 19:29

Hoovering. Cannot stand the noise, smell, weight of it and the sweat you have afterwards!
Fortunately my husband has a cat allergy and we kinda rescued a cat so he now does the brunt of it Smile

YesYesAllGood · 27/03/2024 19:30

Making phone calls to people I don't know.

Cleaning the cooker.

AdoraBell · 27/03/2024 19:30

Washing up. I hate it. I would rather throw things away.

Candleabra · 27/03/2024 19:32

Unpacking the dishwasher, I don’t know why.

Also making the packed lunches in the evening before work and school.

tortiecat · 27/03/2024 19:37

@RishiSunak 🤣🤣

Putting clean laundry away. Sits there folded on the spare bed at least a week / til worn!

Minfilia · 27/03/2024 19:42

Changing bedding.

I hate it with a passion.

Desecratedcoconut · 27/03/2024 19:43

I'd happily do double duty on all the laundry stuff if I could be unshackled from food planning. Urgh. Where are those space food pills we were promised on Tomorrow's World?

mondaytosunday · 27/03/2024 20:23

Changing the duvet. Hate it! It was my husband's job. Now I come to think of it though, I hate changing the bed full stop. The fitted sheets never seem to fit with out a tug of war.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 27/03/2024 20:30

Also changing the duvet cover. I find it exhausting and it makes me want to cry.

piscofrisco · 27/03/2024 20:31

The damn dishwasher. Loading it. Unloading it. Putting everything away. At least twice a day. I HATE it

MsFaversham · 27/03/2024 20:34

Vacuuming under the bed. I’ve got wooden floors so get dust bunnies all the time. I just hate doing it but I have asthma so need to.

fluffycloudalert · 27/03/2024 20:35

Domestic/utilities/car/financial paperwork. I can't stand it.

GrandHighPoohbah · 27/03/2024 20:36

Descaling the coffee machine. Every time the little orange descale light comes on, I pretend I haven't seen it!

PaminaMozart · 27/03/2024 20:36

some sort of high-protein gym nonsense diet

well..... this is actually the way to go.
High protein - turkey, chicken, salmon, tuna, eggs
Plus LOTS of vegetables.
Sorted.

Me too!

Menomeno · 27/03/2024 20:40

Shaving my bits. What a faff.

thepastinsidethepresent · 27/03/2024 20:41

Meal planning/food shopping/putting everything away and then having to make sure nothing goes out of date. Fucking relentless and I hate it.

Showering. Especially when it's cold and you've got to get dressed really quickly after otherwise you're shivering. It's just all so much effort.

Pixit · 27/03/2024 20:42

Washing up. I absolutely hate it.

My flat is too small for a dishwasher and even just thinking about that fact brings me to a point of fury.

Youdontevengohere · 27/03/2024 20:43

All of them. Honestly I hate all domestic jobs. I’d love a housekeeper. And chef. And someone to dress me
