@bradpittsbathwater wow. Judge much?

@Nannyfannybanny hope you're feeling better. It's not an easy thing to live with at all.

Xiaoxiong · 27/03/2024 09:39

I'm all about the balance. Yesterday:

  • toast with a fried egg, avocado, seed sprinkle and kimchi
  • travel mug of coffee
  • falafel wrap with babaganoush, salad, pickles and tahini
  • two chocolate digestives with afternoon coffee
  • dinner was a piece of spinach, leek & goat's cheese quiche with a handful of rocket, bowl of roast carrot & lentil soup, piccallili
  • a gin and tonic before dinner!

Today:

  • McD double sausage & egg mcmuffin, hashbrown, latte

I'm always suprised at the amount of salty snacks and sweet stuff some people eat- but with an absence of what seem like 'proper dinners' - I'm not judging as I'm bloody overweight myself and yet eat really well , just suprised I must admit.

@Xiaoxiong you see to me that seems a decent balanced good quality diet- and normal amounts.

HangingOnJustAbout · 27/03/2024 10:06

As I'm hitting menopause im trying to be very careful about proper nutrition.

5 portions veg (aim 30 different plants a month )
3 portions calcium
60g+ protein
Good fats
Etc

It's a lot of food before you add any treats. I think to eat properly and stay slim must need very careful planning and an iron will.

Real lack of fruit and veg in a lot of these posts.

No less than yours.

Well done you! So have many others.. or is there some posts in particular that have turned you into the fruit and vegetable police?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/03/2024 10:38

Yesterday I had:

porridge with peanut butter and oat milk
Belvita biscuits at about 10am at work
Cheese and bean wrap, baked crisps, Milky Way
Jacket potato, slice of quiche, broccoli and peas
Tea, can of Diet Coke, two glasses of white wine

peachgreen · 27/03/2024 10:42

I do 16:8 fasting and a high protein/good fats/low carb restricted calorie diet (it's more fun than it sounds!). I've lost 5 stone so far with another 3 to go. I eat between 1000-1200 calories a day.

Yesterday:
Coffee x 2
Apple with peanut butter
Jacket sweet potato with a soy, ginger and chilli salmon fillet, some feta cheese and broccoli

Today I will have:
Coffee x 2
Greek yoghurt with berries and seeds
Crispy baked salmon fillet with mango and avocado salad

Tomorrow:
Coffee x 2
Apple with peanut butter
Tarragon chicken, asparagus and broccoli bake

Friday I have the day "off" calorie counting (though I still fast) so I'll have some wine and a less damaging option from the takeaway – maybe tandoori chicken, salad and a roti bread or something.

BarrelOfOtters · 27/03/2024 10:44

yesterday

scrambled egg on sourdough
home made thai butternut squash and red lentil soup
an apple
chicken curry with jar sauce and red peppers and spinach and home made dal with brown rice.
1/2 an easter egg.

I'm only joining in because yesterday was rather virtuous.

Snowpaw · 27/03/2024 10:51

I eat carnivore to keep my autoimmune disease in remission. Have done so for 3 years.

Before anyone asks, yes my cholesterol is fine, yes my heart is healthy (0 calcium plaques on a contrast CT scan), yes I’m healthy.

Devilsmommy · 27/03/2024 15:55

1 bag of sour cream and onion wheels and a fishcake. And 20 cups of coffee. No appetite and a very energetic toddler to entertain 😭
