My dc , early twenties came out with the Dave’s that Danhel Craig’s has been the only Bond all his life! (Although further researched Pierce Brisman was in a film when he was a baby).

Idris Elba gets my vote.

I still think they missed the boat with Colin Salmon when they went for Pierce Brosnan over him. I would have liked to have seen him in the role.

Bond is stand alone and must be light hearted with a sense of humour. It's that contrast that makes his spy side seem effortless.

Henry Cavill was in a Mission Impossible movie which I thought pretty much took him out of the running for JB? Plus he’s 40 now… I’d have enjoyed someone like Charlie Hunnam but he’s also too old for it now.
How about Richard Madden?

Anyone 40 or over is surely too old. I thought DC looked too old in the last couple.

I was hoping for Sope Dirisu. He's young enough, great action chops and has the charisma.

Either of Idris or Chiwetel would've been great. Missed opportunity.

He is a bad actor. So very, very bad.

Sam Heughan or Jack Lowden fit the bill, as does James Norton. James Norton would be great, superb actor. I know from inside info at least one of that group did screen tests for the role.
Theo James ruled himself out a long time ago, not his thing at all. Shame.

I really hope it's not him - I cannot think of anyone less suited - Henry Cavill or Jamie Dornan whilst old would still be better than AJT - I think if it is him the Bond franchise will suffer

People couldn't see DC as Bond when that was announced. Not that ATJ has been announced, could all be rumours.

Most of the people being suggested here are too old to be a new Bond now. Cavilll, Norton etc. Shooting wouldn't start for a while and they'd want 4 or 5 films from a Bond. Anyone close to or over 40 is out.
