Have just seen news saying that associated press have withdrawn photo as it appears "manipulated". V strange

I think it's fake. I don't particularly want anything. I think the surgery explanation is truthful and they just fucked up with the photo. I think a lot of people reckon the same. I wish her well and hope her recovery is going as planned (medically if not in terms of PR!!!).

The photo was pulled by reputable agencies, thinking it's not an accurate image does not a conspiracy theorist make.

Maybe she didn't want to be photographed, maybe she just wants to be left alone to recuperate

I suspect they knew exactly where the photographer was. It's no coincidence she was seen today and that the British media has happily published the image when they didn't publish last week's.

I think if I was getting this level of scrutiny as senior members of the RF and heir to the throne, I would absolutely make sure the photo suggested all was well, yes.

Kate choose to turn her face and as a result we have a very sad image of her. In my view. William is just looking down at his phone perhaps. It does not scream marital bliss or even any connection or communication. Kate looks like she is dressed for a funeral - which doesn’t help.

But she isnt- she decided to go out.

Being papped with William on a known journey for work is something they can't be accused of faking. It's not a particularly creative move but it will satisfy the dead/moved out/coma ridiculous rumours.

It doesn't explain the photo fuck up, but perhaps they will in time.

Do you think she might look “sad” because she’s been chased out of quiet recovery by people braying for evidence of her existence and, having done so, has now had to issue a public apology for trying to protect her dignity by making the photo look as appealing as possible? And William might look a bit short of jolly for similar reasons.

But this is very uncharacteristic of Kate. Always willing to smile and wave in the past. She cuts a very sad figure - dressed as she is, turned away. William is doing nothing to comfort her, he looks completely checked out.

For people not understanding, the Louis fingers... Charlotte cardigan.... are just a graceful brush off. The British media can not, and will not, say that this is not Kate, the future Queen of England, in this photo. It might be her body, it might be her face. It might be both if taken over 3 months ago. But it does not represent Catherine now and they cannot be complicit in pretending it is. And any touch ups, smoothing over would be forgiven. But it is not this. These news agencies are putting their name on the line to say they will not be party to this. Against the royal family. You need to think what that means
