Kate's photo appears "manipulated"?

Have just seen news saying that associated press have withdrawn photo as it appears "manipulated". V strange

It’s the lies . They are PUBLICLY funded , why shouldn’t we care about being lied to.
To object to a fake image isn’t to request a real one, no image at all is a perfectly acceptable stance . It would have been fine to show an image of the get well cards, or some Mother’s Day cards made by the children, or even a heartfelt statement that acknowledged other mothers who are going through difficult times on Mother’s Day.
The palace had already stated that the Princess would be back after Easter, so to acquiesce to ridiculous social media pressure is just unnecessary and inflammatory. And it sets a precedent for future communications.

I think Kate has had minor surgery, many months ago - but the ongoing circus is to hide the fact they have separated.

I think that it is disingenuous to suggest that people are being ridiculous because they question the authenticity of the photo.

I think that the issue is not so much with the apparent photoshop but with the secrecy surrounding Kate’s illness. This in addition to William missing his Godfather’s memorial service (citing ‘personal reasons’ )and appearing to be out of sorts at the medal ceremony.
I don’t believe that William took that photo, so why did KP lie about it.?
I don’t believe that Kate edited the photo, so why the lies?
I just think that people believe that there is something more serious going on with Kate which is being hidden from the public.
The whole photo debacle has not done anything to assuage the public’s hunger for more information. In fact the conspiracy theories have gained traction.

I think there is so much photoshop done on this, not simple edits or filters, and where its done strongly suggests that the 4 of them were not sitting there together. Why did they just not release a different photo of all of them with the message from her?

Has Camilla stolen the ring? And Anne has gone after her to get it back. And William is furious that Kate let it get stolen so has tried to embarrass her by mocking up a bad photo edit to embarrass her publically by pretending she is rubbish at photo shop? I’m just not sure what you’re getting at.

Expert photographers disagree with you. Plenty are commenting on it. And are in no doubt the original photo is absolutely the four of them together.

Yes - absolutely.
The BBC 24hour news (or whatever it's branded as these days) earlier today made it the lead **ing story. Such is the beeb's insecure enthusiasm to seem in tune with the people/zeitgeist. Sky on the same hourly bulletin rather sensibly made it the second story - a good 8 minutes in after the horror of Gaza.
I fear royalty has become an ongoing celebrity culture game show - 24 hours ongoing ongoing with no respite - and we all know how many of the folks in that apparently glamourous life end up topping themselves.
How long is it before there's a royal suicide?

Assuming we believe Kate WAS with her mother in the car, why choose that setting with Carole as the first photo to be seen in months? That was no accident either.
Kate deliberately put herself in Carole’s car knowing the press would be watching their every move - and made no effort to look happy or cheery. Sat slumped in dark glasses she looked so grim, as did her Carole. Notably Kate was not with William.

All these things add up to me at least. Even if you discount the rumours.

Because if the royal family have taken an older picture of Kate and tried to pass it off as current, and deliberately lied to the public, then that’s a very big deal indeed.

What fresh hell behaviour is this from randoms in the digital age? A whole thread, now nearly full, due to people thinking they’re entitled to know some family truth, or some finer detail about a woman’s health based on an image and discussing in-depth what might/might not have been photoshopped. Calling out for the ‘truth’ is a new low, particularly as there’s three young children caught up in the image discussion too.

Charlotte is wearing a rope friendship bracelet on her right hand, clearly visible in the video. On the closeup image that the user @SabreIsMyFave posted on Page 28 (ironically to disprove speculations), there are a few bracelet threads poking out from under the sleeve.

Well now she’s apparently in a car with William being side face papped.

This is what I think. They are separated and the photo was either taken by Carole and sent to KP to put out or its from a long time ago and KP have pretended it was last week. The press can't publish a picture that represents a false narrative and they would compromise their own integrity if it came out. They protect the Royals hugely in return for photos like this, but if the Royals put the professional integrity of news agencies at risk, all gloves are off, and rightly so.

KP are playing a somewhat risky game with the press agencies. I've seen a couple of 'unrelated' stories pop up today that makes me wonder.

They just keep making it worse for themselves, with half-truths and implausible 'explanations.' I imagine a ton of public trust has been lost now.

At this point, they should abandon the damage limitation, let Kate get better at her own pace, and William gets on with the day job.

She’s had surgery. Many posters have guessed what. It’s not a hysterectomy. Or a facelift! It’s something that most women would find unpleasant to discuss. The poor woman is entitled to keep her medical history private. We do not need to know. I know because I was told. I didn’t ask. A loose-lipped person who works in a private hospital told me. I feel so sorry for her and hope she doesn’t read this awful salacious drooling speculation online. Divorces and mental breakdowns, comas and plastic surgery. Poor woman. Hillary Mantel was right. A royal bride is dehumanised, I can’t remember the line - something about being a jointed doll on which clothes are hung. But she is a woman like the rest of us, coping with illness in the face of unbearable scrutiny and intrusion. Would any of us be able to take it? And now this photograph nonsense. All because she felt hassled into making some sort of appearance to appease the great unwashed. She may well wonder if she should have been upfront about her surgery to begin with, but really, who could have imagined this level of public losing of the mind?!!

I really feel for Kate I don’t know how she copes mentally with the onslaught she has had to endure in the past few years
