Sure, but to put out a doctored photo was just so stupid.

A statement to say she's recovering well and looks forward to resuming her duties after Easter, as previously advised, would have sufficed.

It is unbelievable how much people are willing to accuse people doing their job by not allowing heavily manipulated photographs of overreacting or blaming them for this fiasco. This is William and Kates fault, and their team for not telling them that they just cannot do this. People are so willing to be manipulated by the Royals that they would blame everyone and anyone rather than admit they did something stupid/lied.

The point is that this goes beyond a bit of airbrushing and strays into, well, lying.

They shouldn't have caved, you're right. But they did and the way that they did it should be discussed.

They said it was from last week. If they hadn't said ' taken by William last week it wouldn't be a problem. If it wasn't taken last week, was it taken by William? Both those things were said at the same time.

They didn't need to put anything out.

But they did and it seems it wasn't particularly truthful.

Funnily enough … you’re looking at the wrong sleeve

I think it's not just about editing it a bit, I think the photo is a composite and Kate's head/neck has been added from another photo.

It’s as plain as the nose on my face to me, that Kate’s head has been photoshopped into that photo. Stop scrutinising the little details and stand back from it. It’s obvious. And it’s only that kind of “editing” that would have made the news agencies pull it.

It makes me sad. She’s obviously very unwell, and they’re trying to protect those poor kids.

I think the media are saying it's about the sleeve as that's the easiest and most obvious thing. It's clear they really think her head is photoshopped on! Or those aren't her hands right now. Or it's an old photo put out with a note saying a lie which is it was taken five days ago by William. They aren't going to want to get into the legal weeds by saying those things, so that's why they are blaming the sleeve, which is quite a minor matter.

Simple cosmetic edits are OK but changes which affect the narrative of a photo are not and should be questioned.

I don't think the image of Kate is from 'last week'. If you look at pictures of her from late last year, she looks a bit lined in the face, v thin and unwell. And we are told she then had major surgery in the New Year? What kind of 'major surgery' makes you look the picture of health a few weeks later? if that pap shot was genuinely of Kate, this is really very weird.

Well if you're gonna photoshop something at least try and make a decent job of it. Not so much credible Kate now.

I think some posters won't be happy until she does some sort of public walk of shame , Game of Thrones style.

To me it looks like the 3 children were there in an original photo with a different adult. An adult with a larger torso perhaps? Then Kate's head, legs and two hands were superimposed in later. I might well be wrong as know nothing of the royal family or photo editing. (I actually thought there was 4 children?). That's just how my eyes see it. Her hands look really......odd. I pay no attention to the royal family but the photo is so other-worldly, I can't stop looking at it!

I don’t believe for a single second that Kate is so dumb that she put out a dreadful photo full of editing failures. This was a deliberate decision if she did. What is she trying to tell us?

This is clearly a photo taken in the summer. The tree is in full leaf. No one is going to make so many mistakes! Every photo that is ever released must be checked microscopically and repeatedly under normal circumstances. What not this one?

I don’t believe this was taken of Kate this week or any time soon. I don’t believe it was edited by her either. I don’t believe for a single second any of this has anything to do with Kate actually! Nor do I believe that photo was of her in the car with Carole, it is the spitting image of Pippa. This photo was created to throw a decoy bone to the masses. And it’s backfired.

Where is Kate? We still don’t know.
Is she okay? We still don’t know.

All this photo is going to do is make people worry even more for her.

The press definitely know this is all bullshit and have refused to go along with it. Misleading the public is not a good idea and their credibility and reputation will lie in tatters once the truth comes out.

Nope because as long as there is no firm evidence of her looking well and happy as of right now, the coma/divorce rumours won’t go away. They’re screwed until she properly appears, and honestly I think it’s going to have to be sooner than they wanted. Again, poor woman.
