Honestly, who knows, would they even respond at that point. The problem with starting down a route of subtle misrepresentations or omissions is sooner or later you have to make another, and another, and the knots get tied so you can’t undo them without a lot of embarrassment.
It’s clearly an old photo, perhaps she’s going through something medical which means she doesn’t look herself and doesn’t want to be in the public eye looking unwell. Which I understand.
And I know she has the right to privacy but in a way it would’ve been better for her privacy if she had just indicated what it is she’s unwell with. Everyone would’ve accepted it in a ‘take as much time as you need’ way, it actually would’ve been a good PR move in terms of popularity and looking relatable. King Charles sharing his cancer diagnosis has done wonders for his public image and makes him look an absolute hero when he does do an engagement or two.
By hushing up something which has meant months and months of recovery, much more than her cancer stricken and much older FIL, all they’ve done is increase the speculation and in the process ended up with an unsolvable mess through covering things up.
I don’t think anyone is blaming Kate, I actually think most people are either indifferent or a bit concerned for her. The whole thing has been badly managed and has echoes of Diana, Harry, Meghan and all the rest of it.
