Does anyone have a timeline of when the agencies received the photo and when they issued the kill notice ?

EasternStandard · 11/03/2024 10:26

Just on the agency statement and the post from @Lampslights I’m guessing it’s more than just the sleeve issue

I mean I’m not sure others may have views

Laiste · 11/03/2024 10:26

@Janiie it hasn't been 6 months since her surgery?

@bwage - i'm happy to accept it wasn't Pippa either (i'm not that up on P's face shape ect) I just really don't think it was Kate.

Sitting in the back of her mum's car with no security going on a school run - when, apart from anything else, she's officially convalescing till Easter ...

Anyway i can't believe i'm on here joining in with this i've got loads to bloody do !!!!! 😂

She wasn’t in the back of the car?

Breaking news. W has released a statement from K apologising for tampering with the photo. Makes it even odder now.

Guavafish1 · 11/03/2024 10:33

Looks very photoshoped esp. KM

sunglassesonthetable · 11/03/2024 10:33

I think they felt (incorrectly imo) that they had to release something. But, due to Kate's health, the only option was a photoshopped image. At this point they should have just stopped and not released anything but I wouldn't be surprised if they thought "well, yes people online will notice the photoshop but it won't be a mainstream thing and most people will just accept that plenty of pictures are edited and it was probably done just to get a nice one of all the kids and so it won't be a problem. And anyone who delves further and says it's heavily edited a) doesn't like us anyway, and b) will be dismissed by most people as a conspiracy theorist, and that's if they even see the comments". So they decide to go ahead.
But what wasn't anticipated was the picture being pulled by news agencies, which has put the photoshop under more scrutiny. Plenty of people would have just seen the photo briefly on a news website maybe, and not looked any further behind thinking "oh that's nice, she looks well". But now those same people are seeing on the news that it's heavily altered, which wouldn't have happened if the news agencies hadn't pulled it.

" it won't be a mainstream thing "

  • one of the most photographed women in the world

"what wasn't anticipated was the pic being pulled by news agencies "

by people who work in press for one of the most heavily photographed/newsworthy families in the world

Has he? Where?

Has he? Where?

On their Instagram story, I hate she made a statement like that like she’s some sort of Instagram influencer. This is the royal family!

willWillSmithsmith · 11/03/2024 10:35

oiltrader · 11/03/2024 09:53

It is known. We spent time living in Europe when DH was placed there. It gives you a perspective when you move back home, and can see how the bloodline Royals are hand in glove with the UK press. William is a bully, and has had lovers outside of marriage, just like his father did and he expects Kate to accept this as part of the deal x

Where’s home? Obviously not the UK as that’s Europe and you appear to not be living there anymore. Not sure what living in Europe’s got to do with anything as I live in Europe (England). How are you so knowledgeable then, got a mate In KP have you?

@Janiie it hasn't been 6 months since her surgery?

No it was 2 separate sentences. First, it's been a few weeks since her op I'm sure she can manage a zip by now. Then, secondly does the pp think folk wear dressing gowns for months post op?

PrincessScarlett · 11/03/2024 10:36

Just announced it on This Morning with a screen shot of the statement. Basically says K as an amateur photographer likes to edit photos and she apologised for any confusion caused.

Strawberr13s · 11/03/2024 10:36

Instagram Stories Prince and Princess of Wales. Seems to be a message direct from Catherine. Bet she's fed up!

They took the photo from the Palace’s Instagram.

PrincessScarlett · 11/03/2024 10:37

I find it odd that W/KP has released an apology from K/that K is taking the blame for the photo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Namerchanger1 · 11/03/2024 10:37

How weird!!!

Kate's photo appears "manipulated"?
CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 11/03/2024 10:38

@sunglassesonthetable when I said it wouldn't be mainstream I meant the discussion around photoshop, not the photo itself. Most people aren't interested enough to care about some editing of a picture, that story only became mainstream because the agencies pulled it. Which clearly they didn't expect, because otherwise they wouldn't have released it at all.

All the wannabe Annie Liebocitche's on here....

Wheresthebeach · 11/03/2024 10:39

They hysteria around this photo is just plain weird.

Strawberr13s · 11/03/2024 10:40

Next we will have her statement pulled apart. They can't win.

Explains why previous policy was 'Never Complain, Never Explain'!!

So pleased they've kept it brief and haven't responded in the same ott tone as all the overinvested critics. 'Kill the picture' it's just absolutely batshit.

I bet there's lots of 'wtaf' and headshakes at KP today..

TheSnowyOwl · 11/03/2024 10:41

Laiste · 11/03/2024 10:19

Would anyone really be (even seen to be) wearing tight skinny jeans after abdominal surgery though?

It feels like who ever's in this photo is in a typical Kate In Informal Wear, Outdoor In Winter uniform.
''Lets make her look 100% OK in her normal skinny jeans outside and hugging the kids'' ...

Is the outside thing because lots of talk have been about her being 'shut in'?

I don't think she's anything but just understandably poorly after surgery and they're tried to give the public a reassuring pic but it's backfired. They should have just said (once again) no pics, she'll be back at Easter God willing and she's grateful for all the well wishes.

I would imagine that maternity jeans would be comfortable to wear and you can’t even tell that the jeans are done up in the photo or anything else about them. Whilst they might be a skinny style, they could easily have an elasticated waistband. I certainly wore them in the immediate aftermath of a c section so several weeks on from abdominal surgery would expect them to be a suitable item of clothing.

I guess it sounds more likely for Kate to say "as an amateur photographer I often experiment with editing" because she's known to like photography.

William isn't known to have that interest I don't think, so it wouldn't be as likely for him to say "no big deal, nothing to see here, I often have a go at editing some pictures"
