Kate's photo appears "manipulated"?

Have just seen news saying that associated press have withdrawn photo as it appears "manipulated". V strange

Not sure how they thought anybody would believe that the paparazzi shot and the doctored photo could be of the same woman taken in the same week. Her head is from a different photograph, for one thing, and too big for her legs. She is also not looking in the same direction as the children who are probably all from the same photo because they are all the same “texture” (cardigan mistake notwithstanding) and looking dead straight at the camera.

Someone (probably Kate, to be fair) was photoshopped out of the original & glam, glossy “everything is normal” Kate photoshopped in.

It’s entirely possible that she is the one behind the gaffe here by asking for a healthier photo to be merged in, because she knows, sadly, what a shitshow would ensue from a photograph of a woman in her 40’s recovering from surgery.

She is also not looking in the same direction as the children

She seems to be looking a little bit up and to the left (her left) compared to them. I could be wrong, of course, but I don't think the photo was pulled because of a cardigan cuff.

Not a royalist & only following this entire topic cos it's fascinating.

The photo does just look like a composite of various photos taken at the same time cos I imagine even royal children are a pita to photo candidly, however, the thing that struck me when I first saw (pre kill notice) was her hands. Her position is incredibly unnatural in relation to her hands. She looks like she's holding a book, or piece of paper, not the waists of her children (or any human for that matter). The hand on the left - you can see the cuff of the coat/jumper & it's coming upwards, not round. Everything about the position of the hands is just off.

It reminds me of those funny photos where someone's knee looks like a penis or one person's arm seems to be around 7 ppl. So it could just be a peculiar perspective thing.

It is known. We spent time living in Europe when DH was placed there. It gives you a perspective when you move back home, and can see how the bloodline Royals are hand in glove with the UK press. William is a bully, and has had lovers outside of marriage, just like his father did and he expects Kate to accept this as part of the deal x

I assumed it was Pippa - that high forehead! Also, it would make more sense, mother and sister visiting Kate, rather than Kate being driven around Windsor by her mother.

It is manipulated. Kate's legs are not so short and bulky ( even though these legs are slim , her upper body also is not that short even in sitting position)

They have been conning us for years.

It's just easier to spot now.

these are not Kate's very straight, very long and very skinny legs. These legs are slim but far from pretty, all curly

As PPs have said it wasn’t the kids that threw me, it was Kate; the proportions are all wrong.

Read the whole thread, looked at the zoomed in bits - I think it's somebody else with the kids and their head swapped with Kate's.

I think they felt forced to release a picture.

I don't think it was Kate in the car that day. I recon it was Pippa with her mum. Possibly they did it on purpose, but more likely not and they're just not disputing it. There was no security with them for a start and it just doesn't seem plausible to me that she's sticking carefully to her guns about not being seen till Easter and then going on a random school run in the back of a car

I also think whoever did the paint job on those window frames needs sacking 😂

Do you really think they couldn’t t have found someone with similar legs ( pippa?) to sit there if they were desperate to hide her legs for some reason?

They looked to me like they’d lost condition, which happens when you don’t use them at times like , surprise surprise, surgery recovery.

its a complete PR disaster but I do believe the photos were taken in good faith and very recently.

I only have two kids similar ages and it’s very difficult to get both of them smiling nicely at the same time. So I think it’s a composite image. But surely if you’re going to do a photoshop in these circs you pay someone to do it properly!!

Maybe Kate's touched up the pics herself and made a bags of it.

It’s a bosh job of old pics stitched together. Supposed to make everyone sigh a breath of relief. But instead it’s given way to rampant speculation.

I don't think she's anything but just understandably poorly after surgery and they're tried to give the public a reassuring pic but it's backfired. They should have just said (once again) no pics, she'll be back at Easter God willing and she's grateful for all the well wishes.

I think they felt (incorrectly imo) that they had to release something. But, due to Kate's health, the only option was a photoshopped image. At this point they should have just stopped and not released anything but I wouldn't be surprised if they thought "well, yes people online will notice the photoshop but it won't be a mainstream thing and most people will just accept that plenty of pictures are edited and it was probably done just to get a nice one of all the kids and so it won't be a problem. And anyone who delves further and says it's heavily edited a) doesn't like us anyway, and b) will be dismissed by most people as a conspiracy theorist, and that's if they even see the comments". So they decide to go ahead.
But what wasn't anticipated was the picture being pulled by news agencies, which has put the photoshop under more scrutiny. Plenty of people would have just seen the photo briefly on a news website maybe, and not looked any further behind thinking "oh that's nice, she looks well". But now those same people are seeing on the news that it's heavily altered, which wouldn't have happened if the news agencies hadn't pulled it.

@bwage - i'm happy to accept it wasn't Pippa either (i'm not that up on P's face shape ect) I just really don't think it was Kate.

Sitting in the back of her mum's car with no security going on a school run - when, apart from anything else, she's officially convalescing till Easter ...
