Re-watching old Walking Dead and I'd forgotten about the wonderfully-named producer Caleb Womble.

Best name ever, for me. What's yours?

Something on TV the other day and one of the crew members in the credits was Lucas Browneyes. I hope he has brown eyes.

I wish I was lucky enough to have a surname like Love or Lovewell. It sounds so nice!

Our librarian (libraries all shut now sadly) had the surname Sweetlove which I loved.

I have a family member who changed her first name by deed poll to what is a common nickname for a vulva. God knows why. She says she didn't know- but she did as we all told her beforehand.

My year 8 English teacher was Mrs Hooker. I don't know if it was true but everyone said her husband's name was Alf...

We had Wayne Ankers yet? Works on 2 levels - nautical and masturbatory

Real person - works in Manchester

Dick Pound, former president of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Saw him in a documentary and it's been amusing me ever since.

Also when I grew up - the Conway-Crapp family

I would love one of them to work for the Welsh Tourist Board

I went to school with Jo King, and church with a Chris Peacock.

This guy though 😀lettersofnote.com/2009/10/28/we-all-feel-like-that-now-and-then/

I once met a Valentina Ferrari which I thought was pretty fab. Had an ancestor called Spendlove and a friend with a teacher called Mrs Wriggly-Pheasant, both of which made me smile too.

Gettingonmygoat · 07/03/2024 13:23

A doctor in the maternity unit when i was having my youngest many decades ago was called Anette Curtain.
A lad that a family friend was seeing was called Wayne King, why would you do that to your child ?

I went to school with a Jo King, and innocent little me used to wonder why she didn't call herself Joanne King.

Hugh Cumber. I shit you not. His parents must hate him.

Yes I knew Hugh when he was a kid (I’m assuming there’s only one). His dad was my vet. When I was first introduced to him, he gave me the most withering look a ten year old is capable of, and just said, “DON’T say it!” with a big sigh.

One of my favourites was a local police constable, PC Rick O’Shea

Journalist?
Wayne Ankers edits our local paper, not too far from Manchester.

Mary Fukuto. She was a co producer on tv series Frasier and cheers.

Katkins17 · 07/03/2024 13:39

I had an email last year from a 'Ginger Pratt'

Made laugh far more than it should have done.

Martz · 07/03/2024 13:40

Emma Royd. She was as annoying as one too.
