What day do you normally do your grocery shopping and why?

Just interested - I am a terrible housekeeper / meal planner.

I normally shop on a Wednesday as that's my least busy day. Wondering if I'm missing a trick by not doing a 'better' day. I could theoretically do any day if it was a delivery or click and collect

I do the big shop on Sundays and then nip in after work on wed and Fri for milk and bread plus stuff for tea.

My brain can only meal plan a few days in advance.
Probably not the most efficient or cost effective but it causes me less stress.

I usually try to stretch it out and then dh mentions were low on fruit for pack lunches and I do an online shop due the next day. Can’t quite figure out which day is best and you’d think I would by now (41 years old).

We get one delivery to last the week, delivered on a Thursday evening. Used to have it delivered on Friday so we'd have fresh food for picnic lunches and batch cooking over the weekend, but my DD does an after school activity on Fridays now so it's too busy. We don't do top up shops, most things can last the week.

Just do Ocado as and where needed.

There's a lot of people on here who have shopping delivered..I shop in Lidl, they don't deliver of course. I want to look at the products, check the reduced, and often they have a "veg box",£1.50 for around £10 worth of fruit and veg. I have 2 freezers,a larder cupboard for dried goods, bread is frozen straight away. I don't meal plan , I do batch cook and freeze.
