Really not a fan of this general election one constituency at a time policy they seem to be using.

This will bring the majority down around 50 won’t it. Although Bridgen and Anderson won’t really count as opposition. Pretty sure they are always going to vote with the party.

Maybe they are hoping that by the time we get to the election, they will have fewer MPs than Labour and can blame the party with the majority for all the issues. Maybe this is why they are waiting until the end of the year.

Distressing is the word. I had a wee weep after posting. You get through crap at the time and then it's onwards and upwards. But when you have to spell it out for the ignorant, the delusional and the Tory cheerleaders, it really hits you how shit life is now.

That makes me feel a bit sick.

The Tory membership put Liz Truss in charge. There’s a huge disconnect between the Tory members and typical Tory voters.

Compare and contrast Sunak with Starmer on dealing with racism in the party

Lee Anderson made Islamophobic comments.
Lee Anderson refused to apologise and doubled down on those comments.
Lee Anderson had the whip withdrawn for failure to apologise for those comments, not for the comments themselves.
Sunak doesn't think Lee Anderson is Islamophobic.

My conclusion the PM is islamophobic. Why else allow events to get this far and back the man who is being blatant.

If he said Anderson was Islamophobic he’d have to admit to a bigger issue, which is that it’s endemic in the party. All the candidates for leadership in the 2019 leadership contest promised to do something about it, ffs. He should ask Javid what he thinks.

@TooBigForMyBoots don't let them get to you. Some of the posters on that thread just love the opportunity to be cruel about anyone who might be struggling and/or benefits. I don't think it is even necessarily anything to do with them being Tory voters, they just relish being nasty.

Sunak is spineless. He knows that if he or any of his MPs use the "I" word the last remaining dregs of Tory voters will explode and run off to Reform UK.
