Exactly this. As much as people want to push the narrative of big wealthy boss sexually harassing his PA, it looks like it was mutual. Indeed, I suspect that’s why he was cleared of any misconduct, because they are as bad as each other.

I suspect he refused to leave Geri for her and so it ended badly. Annoyingly, because of her own conduct, she comes across as a woman scorned rather than someone who was being harassed which will simply add more weight to those claims whenever someone needs to make a similar complaint.

It doesn’t sound like a full on affair to me from reading the texts. It sounds like he is desperate and horny and she is trying to deflect him but was drawn in on at least one occasion with the reference to making him ‘blast’ and not being able to hold it in so he had to finish himself off. Sounds like she realised they’d gone too far and she didn’t want to carry on but he was constantly harassing her about her clothes etc.

The screenshot where someone else seems to say it’s sexual assault but she says she can’t say that to him is telling. There was possibly more going on which has not be released. She was probably very worried about losing her job and then being blackballed from other jobs as he is obviously a man of power and influence in that industry so could have easily have screwed her with a bad reference which would have been very damaging as that was probably the biggest job on her CV.

Having worked as a PA myself to rich, powerful men (not in that industry) I can understand how she struggled to maintain boundaries when he was behaving as he was. I was sacked once for making it clear I wasn’t interested in providing ‘stress relief’ to my boss (had to turn him away from my hotel room on a work trip) which offended his ego and a whole litany of bullshit about my work was made up to excuse it. So it definitely happens.

She obviously put in a grievance which was not upheld, couldn’t continue working for him after that and just putting in a grievance would have meant she couldn’t whatever the outcome, knew she’d potentially have difficulty getting another job and so if she released this herself, I totally don’t blame her! She should sue for sexual harassment.

She sounded like she was being an excellent PA tbh. The purpose of the role is to help your boss do his job, including personally, she was obviously on call including out of office hours and probably paid well. That shouldn’t have included being her boss’s wank material though! She was even trying to give him advice about talking to someone (assume therapy) from the texts.

She couldn’t have refused to respond to his messages, he was her bloody boss!

According to one poster though as she was conceived via IVF it might not be his and he doesn't refer to himself as dad, despite referring to his 'daughter' on social media. Madness.

Some people can be happily married , love their partner, but enjoy the excitement of sex on the side. It doesn’t mean anything. I suspect mor4 men than women. But sleeping with someone doesn’t mean in every case you’re unhappily married. He was clearly not for leaving Geri and enjoyed their life together.

I mean I couldn’t do it, but it’s not uncommon.

Is he popular in the team does anyone know? Obviously there's rivalry with other teams but I wonder what the technicians, drivers and other senior managers think of him?

Yes absolutely, that’s in the files. I read it again. Opened every Image and I do think this absolutely was an affair . On second reading it’s very clear.

When I was younger and more foolish I had an affair with a married man at work. Not something I'm proud of but I can't turn the clock back. I'm ashamed of it now.
These messages are exactly the sort of thing we would have been writing had WhatsApp been around at the time. The banality of it shows the intimacy in some ways. Definitely have had an affair.

I’m a bit annoyed that the Daily Fail article doesn’t really convey the inventiveness of the humour on this thread. It makes us sounds about as clever as Christian Horner. We are worth more than this Ladies! [jabs GlisteningFinger accusingly]

The PA is no victim in this sordid situation. PA ‘has relations’ with boss, tale as old as time, she wanted to be Lady Horner number 2 and when he made it clear he was happily married she didn’t like it hence this debacle.
