Who wants to come and live in my lovely imaginary women’s commune with me?

Having read the posts about the disgusting 35 year old porn shagger, other posts about useless husbands who dont know how to clean up after themselves & having been ill & then come downstairs to a shit hole of a house, I have decided that most (all) men are unwiped arseholes.

I want to go and live in a lovely community of women. Do you want to come along with me? We can all have our own home but lovely shared spaces where we come to help & support each other and make each other laugh. We can have a screening room where we watch reruns of pride and prejudice. Also a weights/gym/yoga centre whereby we invite specially selected instructors. We could start with that skipping guy from instagram? (see note below).

If men must visit, sigh, they must pass the round table of the wisest amongst us. Anyfucker can lead. Fail this test & they exit through a trapdoor. Or a catapult.

Who is in?

Swap the pride and prejudice for wine sessions and I’d be up for that.

RoseBucket · 18/02/2024 14:02

Although to add I don’t actually have any issues with men.

Greensleevevssnotnose · 18/02/2024 14:03

Just from the title alone, I'm out. Can't think of anything worse than living with women. Shudders

Ghuunvg · 18/02/2024 14:03

As long as we make it a screeching/squealing-free space I'm in

yesmen · 18/02/2024 14:04

I am in.

What kind of a building would we have? I see a wonderful old Italian Villa with amazing gardens or an ultra modern hexagonal shape something. Each with their own rooms but common kitchen dining type thing. View or walk out to gardens essential...

Hmm

DoYouWantToStartACultWithMe · 18/02/2024 14:04

All men are unwiped arseholes?

Nah, not interested in living with you, thanks. Can't think of an all-female existence actually!

TinyYellow · 18/02/2024 14:05

I’ve had this conversation with a few friends, it would be great.

EVHead · 18/02/2024 14:05

I’m in! Men can sod off.

AnnieBuddyHere · 18/02/2024 14:05

It's not the reality though is it, living in harmony?! 😬🤣

You only have to look at a lot of AIBU threads to see how that might pan out!

MrsMoastyToasty · 18/02/2024 14:06

Is chocolate freely available? If so I'm in!

I agree with you - I can't think of anything worse.

SiobhanSharpe · 18/02/2024 14:06

Me neither but I must admit it sounds very nice.
I will have to wait until after DH has popped his clogs because he's one of the good ones. But I'm sure such a living arrangement would help ease my grief!
I would strongly advocate for a decent handyperson to be included, or hired, as I can't be arsed with any form of DIY.

I agree too.

I’m in. There will be a lovely room for reading, with no telly but comfy sofas and a self-cleaning open fire, and the papers will be delivered to us at the weekends so we can drink tea and read them in the afternoon.

TeapotTwister · 18/02/2024 14:11

Another one who is in…

Professionally I meet lots of women in terrible marriages because of financial reasons, or are doing everything because society has conditioned them because their DH does a few school runs they are “a great man”, or they are are single parents struggling to work because of childcare, and I often think a commune/collective would help so many of these women.

AnnieBuddyHere · 18/02/2024 14:12

Think of the rows and judgy looks over...

Breastfeeding/formula feeding.
Shoes on/shoes off.
Toilet brushes or lack of.
SAHM/WOHM
Botox
Lip fillers
Grey hair/dyed hair
Whether a size 14 is 'fat'.

There'd be helicopters and police sirens within the first hour 😬🤣🤣

SiobhanSharpe · 18/02/2024 14:15

To all the people who can't stand the idea, just don't join!
I'm sure there would be times when it wouldn't be all sweetness and light but we'd all have our separate houses or flats to retreat to if and when needed.
But men would clearly have to be able to visit (sons and other relatives) but not to stay for long periods of time.
I presume this would be for single women only. I think new relationships that begin after a woman has moved there could be problematic. I can see there would be some new partners who'd love to get their feet under the table and they're just the ones that shouldn't be allowed. So no new partners!

Actually good point - and WHO WOULD ANSWER THE DOOR?????

LordBeaverbrook · 18/02/2024 14:22

Of course it’s totally flawed idea but it’s imaginary my friends. So I’m imagining no bitchiness and imagining I’d never miss my husband.

It can definitely be in an Italian villa. Swimming Pool and wine room essential.

Oooh- we could branch out and have pregnancy (if it goes well with the skipping guy) and early motherhood wings. No one would have to lift a finger if suffering with hyperemesis or other debilitating pregnancy issues.

No bitchiness 😆

Are you new to MN, 99% female and an absolute cesspit of bitchiness?

Hmmm, this is getting tricky. Would we all need to be single? Men certainly couldn’t live there. This issue would need to go to the round table of the wise.

Like a shot.
Annie, I have a really mixed friendship group of women of all ages and backgrounds, and one thing we all have in common is that we never argue about stuff we may disagree on. 100% respect.

This ^^ 🤣

I know it's imaginary, but even if I took magic mushrooms I still couldn't imagine this working without bloodshed! 😬

Yep, women can be incredibly bitchy and cliquey.
