It feels wrong to watch those videos. They’re so disturbing.

It’s strange that her comments are turned off. Surely Britney, if she’s in control of her own Instagram, will have then turned on?

Hardly, because the comments, when they were on, were full of people expressing concern she was unwell and she doesn't want to hear it.

People turn their own insta comments off all the time for that reason.

Absolutely but apparently when a person with either or both is under prolonged stress for any length of time they can experience meltdowns and then burnout and may exhibit certain behaviours that look like other MH conditions

However the court documents, undisputed said otherwise. I’m fairly sure Britney and her docs know better than your mate.

I think it is irrelevant either way tbh. Neither condition, even in burnout mode, would be an explanation for her current behaviour.

I’ve said multiple times it was an opinion , not a definite just a possibility from someone who is qualified . I’m not saying we know better than people directly involved with her

AbeSimpsonsWhiskeySour · 18/02/2024 10:11

Even if she does have ASD or ADHD, if she came to the attention of MH services here we would say let's treat the mania first. She is not in a place where a diagnosis for a neurodevelopmental condition would be appropriate nor accurate.

I did wonder could the spinning and dancing be some kind of stimming behaviour maybe she finds it grounding / calming ?

I agree maybe it’s a by product of what she’s been through and not the root cause who knows , it could look like one thing and be another or could just be something totally different not asd/adhd. It’s clearly complex

The point I’m making is it isn’t a possibility. Because she’s diagnosed and it was written on the court docs. Britney doesn’t dispute it.

Just picked up on the post the other poster mentioned where she likened herself to the pilots daughter. Yes she is stuck in 20 years ago.

We see the first... And she sees the second...

Its beyond sad, when you consider the powerhouse she once was. Genuinely like two completely different people.

AbeSimpsonsWhiskeySour · 18/02/2024 10:16

In my honest opinion, we all do weird shit in our homes on our own. The problem is the compulsion to put them online.

MyopicBunny · 18/02/2024 10:17

It could be but usually in that case you wouldn't post it to instagram. Although, she's lived her life in the public eye for so long that maybe that feels more normal to her.

In regards to the book, I remember her doing an instagram post about how she's worked hard on it and she hopes people enjoy it etc.

Well who knows 🤷‍♀️ she could have been misdiagnosed or not even assessed for some things. I’m only speculating after someone put the idea in my mind about possible conditions. I’m not qualified enough to make any suggestions myself

Dymaxion · 18/02/2024 10:22

she was diagnosed with a form of early dementia, and various other neurological conditions that could not have been avoided and were not environmental

@Lampslights do you know what these conditions are and when they were diagnosed ?

Yes but why put it online (multiple times!). That's the issue, not the dancing per se.

She definitely doesn’t have dementia.

I think due to th4 fact Britney is clearly very unwell and very obviously has been for a long time, and that it’s becoming very apparent that she has a nuerological brain condition that becomes apparent in young adults, that any stories that come from Britney herself or online speculation should be taken with a pinch of salt.

many many young people have neurological conditions and unable to function without heavy medication, often sectioning, and life long management as they lack capacity, it isn’t something unique.

Nearly every single one of them will at some point say they don’t need their meds, shouldn’t be sectioned, etc. and subsequently would become a danger to themselves or others if they were not “forced”. It’s why the police have powers to detain under the mental health act.

i think folks just either haven’t seen it before or refuse to accept it could happen to someone famous. Like being famous and successful young would prevent you developing a disorder or illness, or cause it, that is not the case.

Britney would be in this condition if she worked down Tesco. She is not unique, my daughters partners brother has a diagnosed condition, became apparent in late teens, degenerative, and he often tries to stop his meds, has to get sectioned etc, and will need life long management.

sadly these things happen to us as humans, being famous or successful from a young age does not prevent illness. She was always going to be like this.

If this were true why would she have been forced to keep performing? You talk as if you’re talking fact but none of us really know what happened and what her medical conditions are and the cause, it’s just speculation.

DumpedByText · 18/02/2024 10:30

It's so sad, she looks dead behind the eyes and really not well. She's dancing around pulling her clothes down nearly exposing her fanny. She turns off comments as she probably knows what people will say, her friends must be so worried. 😢

www.standard.co.uk/news/world/britney-spears-dad-dementia-court-docs-documentary-b932774.html

Is this the source of the dementia claim? The box ticked by her dad on the application? The actual reasons and evidence never made public though?

SomeCatFromJapan · 18/02/2024 10:32

It’s not autism, it’s not adhd, it’s not exploitation, it’s not low iq or lack of education, like manny many other young adults, she was diagnosed with a form of early dementia, and various other neurological conditions that could not have been avoided and were not environmental

Again, early-onset demential progresses heartbreakingly quickly. She wouldn't be dancing now, or speaking, or posting. She probably wouldn't be alive.

Yep. It’s Neurodegenerative. The conservatorship started in 2008 so she’d have had it for 16 years.

I.e, mentally unwell.

MyopicBunny · 18/02/2024 10:37

I want to hug Brit and also shake her and tell her to get her shit together.

Well if she won't listen to her own children.... I'm not surprised they are embarrassed about her posting pictures of them interspersed with nude ones of herself on the beach.

I agree- it's also not unthinkable she has ASD and a mental illness- looking at older interviews of her when she was younger I think its definitely possible she has autism but she's clearly very mentally unwell- I really feel for her. I think she still needs support but it needs to be led by people who aren't profiting from her.

SomeCatFromJapan · 18/02/2024 10:41

Yep. It’s Neurodegenerative. The conservatorship started in 2008 so she’d have had it for 16 years.

Very unlikely then, as there would have been far more significant progression in sixteen years. I unfortunately know someone who became unwell in their thirties.
