Has anything you usually buy recently just disappeared from shops?

I cannot find 'cook at home' poppadums anywhere. Used to be in most supermarkets. I used to buy them all the time. I go to my local Indian shop for them sometimes but they've usually only got flavours I don't favour. The ready made ones aren't as nice and are usually in a load of plastic non-recylcable packaging which doesn't please me either.

I don't mean products that have been discontinued a long time ago, more so things that still exist but you just can't buy anywhere from recently!

Own brand coffee creamer is another one. Don't use it myself but I've heard people at work saying this often.

My local Sainsburys had Jamaica ginger cake today

yes! just before Christmas I sent DD2 home with 3! frozen packs,
Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury for her to try, then could not find it anywhere
in order to replace.
M&S and Ocado sell it, Soffritto, tiny packs, mega expensive

Is it a vain hope that Management (I use the term loosely and with
slightly curling lip) will ever read this thread and think, “Hmmm, we
need to shape up, provide the goods loyal customers want to see
on the shelves, soonest?”

Bought Sainsbury’s own brand about 2 weeks ago

I bought several boxes of the M&S mint batons around Christmas, they're in a flat green box and I think were around £3. They are lovely! In the interests of research I'll check if they still have them if I'm passing the store tomorrow 😄

Did you find them? My local M&S food doesn't stock them so I'd have to go a bit further afield it they do exist but not here.

SuffolkUnicorn · 22/02/2024 02:19

Amazon sell them and bnm has them today I bought from both in the last week

SuffolkUnicorn · 22/02/2024 02:20

Local
chemist sells them if you can’t find them lepicol is even better

SuffolkUnicorn · 22/02/2024 02:21

They are the savers individually wrapped digestive bars I presume

Frozen vegetable base mix - carrot, onion and celery chopped into pieces far smaller than I’ll ever have the patience for. Gone from all the major supermarkets.

M&S sell it as soffrito mix (still working my way through so sorry if this is a repeat)

PG Tips pyramid tea bags. We used to get the boxes of 240.

They've discontinued them, I may never get over it

I got some in Asda last week, £1.40

Thanks! I used to be able to get it in my local Asda, but they’ve definitely stopped doing it (I check nearly every time I go in). I’ll have a look in the bigger store that’s just a bit further away. They also stock the own-brand blonde chocolate (much nicer than the Cadburys one) that the local store has stopped selling, so it definitely won’t be a wasted trip Grin

Chocolatepeanutbuttercupsandicecream · 28/02/2024 11:12

Not sure if these have been mentioned, but I scored some major mum points yesterday by finding these in my local Morrison’s! Ds hadn’t been able to find them for ages 😁

Funnily enough I've found a few things mentioned on here in Morrisons. The Campbells condensed soups and Primula with prawns which is my guilty pleasure 😊. I got an online order the other day and stocked up

justasking111 · 28/02/2024 12:54

Was in a big Boots yesterday, half empty and empty shelves. Couldn't get my moisturiser L'Oréal, lots of other makes missing just apologies out of stock. Are Walgreens not paying their suppliers?

Asda are definitely weaving and dodging theirs. Stock is all over the place. Those brothers have bitten off more than they can chew.

Add in supply difficulties in Ukraine, the red sea. There's some supply choking going on

Smiths Cheese Moments.. These were discontinued a few years ago and not recently but I’ve never forgiven Walkers and probably never will, yes the Scampi fries and Bacon fries are still snacks from the gods but nothing (including scampi and bacon) will ever heal my heartbreak of the loss of those little pockets of cheesy joy!

Walkers Crisps if you’re reading this sort your shit out and bring them back!!!

My absolute favourite thing ever. Loved them. I ate a disgusting amount of Cheese Footballs over Christmas to compensate, but they're not quite the same...😒

I weep every time I see scampi or bacon fries and know that they are missing their cheesy siblings! 😭

Enko · 28/02/2024 20:05

Whispa hot chocolate satchets that are not £2-4 a pop (amazon has some for that price) used to just buy them in supermarkets.

Goldenthigh · 29/02/2024 17:13

Galaxy enchanted eggs have been discontinued this year! Guess which is the only Easter egg DD wants...

Mimilamore · 29/02/2024 18:09

Own brand brown sauce in Tesco. They just have HP and posh ones at exorbitant prices.... Tuns of bbq though

I have seen them in the variety packs. As someone has previously said, Morrisons seems to be the place to check.

Bugger, I’ve seen them somewhere in the last week and can’t remember where it was! I’ve been in Tesco, Asda and Aldi, which doesn’t narrow it down much!

justasking111 · 29/02/2024 22:55

Wasn't Asda I keep looking there.

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 29/02/2024 23:12
