Has anything you usually buy recently just disappeared from shops?

I cannot find 'cook at home' poppadums anywhere. Used to be in most supermarkets. I used to buy them all the time. I go to my local Indian shop for them sometimes but they've usually only got flavours I don't favour. The ready made ones aren't as nice and are usually in a load of plastic non-recylcable packaging which doesn't please me either.

I don't mean products that have been discontinued a long time ago, more so things that still exist but you just can't buy anywhere from recently!

Own brand coffee creamer is another one. Don't use it myself but I've heard people at work saying this often.

I really miss Lidl's version of shloer. I had a bottle most nights. Would pop in on my way home from work and one night it had completely disappeared. Lucozade and such in the place it once was. No shelf tag or anything there.

Not quite the same but Estradot HRT patches. No where to be found. Literally no where. Chemist says it's manufacturing problems and maybe April. It's medical FFS.

Schwartz Moroccan Lamb casserole mix. ☹️

Might have been Colmans but can't find it anywhere.

Saw this is Morrisons last week, I wanted plain old lamb casserole but couldn’t find it anywhere

Paninis, used to buy a pack of 4 to use in our panini press. Can’t get them anywhere. Sainsburys said they don’t make them anymore!

Frozen vegetable base mix - carrot, onion and celery chopped into pieces far smaller than I’ll ever have the patience for. Gone from all the major supermarkets.

Thanks to @PawPaw24, @Spudlover and @MorrisZapp for your help with this. Having seen which way the wind was blowing, I got a decent amount in, but I’ll try Waitrose when that’s gone. If that doesn’t work, it’ll have to be the chopper Grin

A decent sized cauliflower. They've shrunk to the size of an orange everywhere I look.

Hate and begrudge tiny cauliflower.
Only decent place I have found is the market.

Campbells condensed mushroom soup, managed to find it in Home Bargains the other week after it disappeared from all supermarkets

This! I even googled it and it just says there are supply issues but it's been months now.

Dyra · 16/02/2024 08:20

Colman's Beef Stroganoff packet mix. Looks like it might still be sold in some stores, but none near me, and I'm not willing to pay more than £1 a packet.

Dairylea cheese slices. Can't find them anywhere atm.

notprincehamlet · 16/02/2024 08:27

The Collective vegan yoghurt, Poligrip retainer cleaner, Wellwoman vegan vitamins and soffritto. Also decent fruit and veg.

Black magic chocolates have disappeared from all major supermarkets, ie Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury.

Pre packed corned beef slices have gone out of stock from our local Spar, CoOp and OneStop shops.

Tea bags seem in very short supply.

I received a box for Xmas and they were crap, tasted nothing like they used to.
Asdas own Bagels, not the thins the proper bagels they literally disappeared overnight.

We've all loved the M&S choccochino muffins for years but all of a sudden they've disappeared. I'm assuming they've been discontinued.

Tostitos with a hint of lime.

Classic Coke with hint of lime.

Old el paso rice meal kit. Only just discovered it and it was gone!

Morrisons do the rice meal kit.

I buy from Amazon, plain ones. Cook in microwave with no oil for less than a minute!

There is a shortage of tea bags, I read about it recently, but can't remember why. Weather I assume? (Something that will fix itself anyway)

Pear Drops!
I know I can get them online and in proper sweet shops, but sometimes I just want to grab some from the supermarket, they used to be a staple with the humbugs and dolly mixture!

I was going to say dolly mixtures!! Adult DS likes an occasional pack (DS has SN so is shopped for in the family shop, can't go out and get their own before the MN police start telling me off).

In fact where I shop they used to do lots of small packets of own brand different sweets aimed at kids - dolly mixtures, jelly tot- alikes etc and now they are none at all. It may just be where I shop as I don't often go to different places.

ASDA sells tinned raspberries in light syrup

@MorrisZapp

Have you tried frozen ones and letting them defrost? Drain them through a sieve lined with some paper towel ??

Have not been able to get jamaica ginger cake since covid hit.

I've got Jamaica Ginger Cake from Home Bargains, Sainsbury and Tesco - Aldi and Lidl don't seem to stock it though.

Fourmagpies · 16/02/2024 09:17

WhatNow12 · 16/02/2024 07:34

Aldi's Lacura hot cloth cleanser. Haven't been able to get it for about 6 months. Can't order it online to be delivered either 😞

I saw some last week in Aldi.

NotASasquatch · 16/02/2024 09:20

No but I’m very happy to see that Randoms’ Foamies have returned.

This isn't recent, but Tyrozets

They've been discontinued because they contained an antibiotic, but they were fabulous for sore throats

I really miss them too - they were amazing!
Apparently you can still buy something very similar in French pharmacies.

The Old El Paso rice kits are still available, I got one in Lidl the other day as it was on offer, but have bought them in Sainsbury's and Tesco as well.

smoked mozarella - scamorza - from Tesco has disappeared. my favorite Italian cheese.

They only seem to have it occasionally in Tesco - I've bought it from Waitrose previously, but they don't always have it either.

notreadyandable · 16/02/2024 09:35

Cough candy twists. Where are they tescos? You can stick your midget gems up yer arse.

theskyispurple · 15/02/2024 20:12

Conotrane cream ... kind of like a catch all cream for cuts and sore skin... smells like Parma violets and was cheap as chips. Have a tiny bit left, will be bereft when it's gone.

Clarnico mint creams Shock

I love this too - huge tubs of it on Amazon (tho I have always had it in a tube before...)?

NotStayingIn · 16/02/2024 09:36

Dishwasher salt. Ended up buying it from Amazon as it never reappeared in my big Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s.

Have not been able to get jamaica ginger cake since covid hit.

Our local shop has it but it's changed and is now so squishy you can't butter it.
