I’m just curious to see what’s more common.

The back. Kitchen is at the front, I'd prefer it the other way round.

the80sweregreat · 12/02/2024 15:15

Mines at the back
It is nice as I can't hear the road or any of the neighbours

Yozzer87 · 12/02/2024 15:16

It's a through lounge so goes from front to back.

oramgie · 12/02/2024 15:17

Back, and kitchen at the back too, we live in a bungalow with the front door at the side, bedrooms at the front and living space as the back.

I love the living room looking onto the garden and trees behind.

aitchteeaitch · 12/02/2024 15:18

Living room at the front, kitchen and dining room at the back.

sciencemama · 12/02/2024 15:19

Mine is at the front but have another reception room behind followed by the kitchen

HerRoyalNotness · 12/02/2024 15:20

Back
Dining room and study are to the front

Jellytotsburnmytongue · 12/02/2024 15:24

Mines at the front.

imnotwhoyouthinkiam · 12/02/2024 15:26

The back reception room, kitchen comes off of it.
Front Reception room is a bedroom.

itstooearlytobeawake · 12/02/2024 15:27

I'm in a bungalow
Living room and kitchen both at the back

Billyhargrovesmullet · 12/02/2024 15:27

Mine is at the back with doors onto the garden so it’s lovely in summer and kitchen at the front

Same as mine

Natsku · 12/02/2024 15:28

Its at the front of the house, which is actually the back of the house (its at the side facing the road, but the "front" door is at the back of the house - its a bit weird, its like they built the house the wrong way round)

Itwasfinetillitwasnt · 12/02/2024 15:31

Living at the front, kitchen and separate diner at back. I would prefer the other way around.

FeralNun · 12/02/2024 15:32

My house is only one room wide, so it’s both front and back!

NormaSnickers · 12/02/2024 15:36

Both, it extends down one side of the house and has the window at the front and patio doors at the back.

RuthW · 12/02/2024 15:36

Goes front to back, as does
my kitchen.

KnittedCardi · 12/02/2024 15:37

Living room in the front, which is perfect as faces South, so today with the sunshine no heating needed 😁

Kitchen at the back, lovely and cool and shady in the summer when you come back in from the baking garden.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 12/02/2024 15:38

At the back. I still call it the front room, though. Because I'm stupid.

Toddlerteaplease · 12/02/2024 15:38

Back.

Katherineryan1986 · 12/02/2024 15:41

Through lounge - front to back.

ApocalypseNowt · 12/02/2024 15:42

Front but 1st floor. Excellent for noseying at the street goings on!

murasaki · 12/02/2024 15:44

The middle. The front room had the hall knocked out so you come into that room from the street, then straight thrugh to the living room and then an arch through to the kitchen. I like it but it can get a bit dark. Cosy in winter though, if I shut the door from the front room, which the cats object to.

Oneblindmouse · 12/02/2024 15:48

My living room is at the back with a view of the trees in the churchyard behind, and with a door into my garden. I live in a bungalow. My bedroom is at the back next to my living room and has the same nice view as my living room.
My kitchen and bathroom are at the front. I only have 4 rooms.

Tarkan · 12/02/2024 15:48

Front. Kitchen is at the back.

Our bedroom is front and kids' bedrooms at the back. Our road is pretty quiet though so don't have much noise from the road.
