Jobs you could never do

For me, it’s chefs. I am amazed at them. The absolute chaos, the hours, every detail that goes into getting a high quality meal out of the kitchen in as quick a time as possible, all the skills. They are actually truly incredible. I love watching things like Boiling Point, Burnt and The Bear and have no shame in admitting I couldn’t do that job.

I couldn’t be a bus or lorry driver either. I simply couldn’t drive a vehicle that large.

I can drive but I much prefer to drive a small car. The thought of having to be in charge of a bus or an HGV fills me with horror.

I wouldn’t even hire a van to drive because I simply do not want to be in charge of a vehicle that size.

PIP assessor- I couldn't live with myself.

Slaughterhouse work. Working in a Disney shop as a greeter, ie having to pretend to be happy to work there. In store security person. What powers do they actually have and so boring? Tele sales. Soul destroying. I have done many jobs in my life and always try to do my best whatever the pay but there has to be a degree of job satisfaction in order to survive. Hats off to those who do these jobs and enjoy them or simply have no choice though.

Nope I am not. I have caught my own trout, salmon, mackerel, gathered seafood from the shore, trapped rabbits, shot pigeon and pheasant. I have killed, skinned, gutted and plucked ... but I still would not want to work in a slaughterhouse. To be surrounded by death and blood all day long does not appeal to me at all.

I agree op, kitchens look so stressful I would be a terrible chef.

Killing stuff or clearing up killed stuff, nope. Grating people's feet, nope. A job at sea oh hell no.

The people who stack freezers in supermarkets and anyone else who handles frozen things... My fingers turn white at the thought I couldn't do that.

I couldn’t work in the recycling centre/collect bins. I have to hold my breath when I walk past them! DS is fascinated by them!

I thoroughly enjoy a good serving of any meat. I'd still hate to work in a slaughterhouse.

I very much enjoy applying a good peel off face mask but I'd also hate to have to work in the factory mixing and packing the damn stuff! Doesn't make me anti-face masks though 😂

Anything to do with working with cadavers: forensic pathologist, mortician, mortuary makeup artist, gravedigger

Also dead animals, such as in an abattoir or animal crematorium
