Police think Abdul Shokoor Ezedi "died in the Thames", having last been seen leaning over Chelsea bridge.

Couldn't face the disability and disfigurement that he had attempted to inflict on helpless girls, but rebounded onto himself , maybe.

Couldn't face justice - coward

The Met have said: "The Thames is very fast flowing this time of year and very wide, it is possible he may never be found."

It seems there's no CCTV beyond him walking up and down Chelsea bridge and leaning over.

Where's Peter Faulding

My heart goes out to that poor woman. 'Life changing injuries'. Does that mean she was blinded?

She has a right to privacy

Police have said they have seen him go on the bridge but not coming off

Lol.

ChaToilLeam · 09/02/2024 20:30

Won‘t be convinced he is dead until they find a body.

Crooklodge · 09/02/2024 20:37

I'll believe it when they either find a body or have actual proof that he went in. It's been what, 9 days now? The verification and communication of this bawbags whereabouts has been utterly shocking, almost like they weren't arsed even trying to find him.

There was a woman in Australia (Melissa Caddick) that disappeared after conning millions out of folks, her foot eventually washed up, again I'll believe she's dead when the rest appears.

Zanatdy · 09/02/2024 20:41

News report I saw said he crossed over a couple of times and behaviour changed and was looking over the railings. No further CCTV / bus cameras etc. No pubic sightings and he would be easy to identify with such an untreated burn. I guess time will tell, many are recovered from the Thames

Daffodilsandsunshine · 09/02/2024 18:02

Surely CCTV on the bridge that would show him going over? Maybe they cant pick him up CCTV anywhere else after the bridge? The Thames is a fast moving tidal river and his body could end up out at sea. That's no closure for his poor victim and her daughters.

I read the bbc article as they have sightings of him up to and including the bridge but none after. They would know which cctv cameras to pick on next which is how they traced his journey after the attack. It also said it flows fast and they will search at low tide but bodies don't always turn up but those that do can take weeks and as mentioned above often in the same spot due to tides.

"Not convinced till his body is washed up.
The police can’t find a convicted sex offender asylum seeker who was refused residency twice before converting to Christianity.

They can’t find him, it’s a fuck up, and they are saying he’s dead to reduce the incompetence we view the government with over this."

+++

A blunt but accurate summary.

Also who is actually at fault here - the evil convicted sex offender who played the asylum game by claiming he had "converted to Christianity" or the Church and officials who facilitated this.

I mean if I were to free a tiger from a zoo that then killed people then who is at fault- the tiger for doing what tigers do or me for letting it loose on society?

40weeksmummy · 09/02/2024 21:02

No, I don't believe it.

It’d be interesting to know actually how many use loopholes like this to game the system. I think people are in the dark tbh

But unless people go postal there’s no way to stop it

Stressedafff · 09/02/2024 21:05

If he is dead I hope it was the longest, most painful death possible

Even then can we trust the media/police that it will even be his body. If he does resurface.

Sadly, we're allowing far too many 'tigers' to don sheep's clothing.

knitnerd90 · 09/02/2024 21:07

There's a New Yorker article this week about someone who jumped into the Thames. it casts serious doubt into how the Met investigates these cases and how they're very quick to declare it suicide.

parfaitamour · 09/02/2024 21:09

Wonder if he'll become a Lord Lucan/Shergar, and we never find the truth out?

How deeply regrettable for the people attacked by him, and maybe avoidable if only the Met had distributed his ID on the night of the attack, while he was clearly wandering London streets.

rubberneckerr · 09/02/2024 21:09

Around 500 people across the UK have called police with information about Abdul Ezedi and his possible whereabouts since the incident happened, detectives have revealed.

Lol that's nice of them but if he was in London all along, doesn't that mean all the calls across the UK are random sightings?? I would hate to be a brown skinned man just walking around today!

ImCamembertTheBigCheese · 09/02/2024 21:14

He clearly had people willing to hide him. Personally I suspect this is a ruse to throw law enforcement off the scent.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 09/02/2024 21:16

I feel like we may as well not have a police service, wtf do they actually do.

I think we know where he was wondering only with the benefit of hindsight.

He was seen heading towards the tube at Clapham South, but I'm not sure anyone could predict where he would be heading. Even if his VRN suggested the NE

EasternStandard · 09/02/2024 21:17

If he’s walking up and down why not due to waiting for a pick up

OK, so do you mean that the person they tracked on CCTV wasn't him?

Or that their scrutiny of CCTV on the exit routes from the bridge was lacking?

Notherefortheclout · 09/02/2024 21:19

Whoever gave Abdul this idea is very clever. Abdul's not in the Thames he's being protected still.

Yes, but that footage of him in the Tesco, imagine how many people that saw a man with burn damaged skin around one eye.....they could have got that info to the police that night if it had been on the news that he was being searched for, with possible facial damage.

londonmummy1966 · 09/02/2024 21:26

I swim in an open air pool in London on a regular basis - the temperature there on the day this happened was 6 degrees at 11 am so it would have been quite a bit colder in the river when he was last seen. Given he'd have jumped in and been submerged cold water shock is a distinct possibility and even if not I doubt he'd have lasted much more than 25 minutes in the water without going hypothermic - and that's if he'd been able to swim not a given - and not been dragged under by the weight of his clothing - a saturated puffa jacket is jolly heavy. The Thames is pretty high at the moment - bits of the Thames path are blocked by water at high tide at this time of year - and therefore fast moving - its possible he won't be washed up or if he is he'll be quite a way downstream.

SunflowerSeeds123 · 09/02/2024 21:31

Sounds like the Met are without leads and have given up.
