Police think Abdul Shokoor Ezedi "died in the Thames", having last been seen leaning over Chelsea bridge.

Couldn't face the disability and disfigurement that he had attempted to inflict on helpless girls, but rebounded onto himself , maybe.

Couldn't face justice - coward

Clapham attack latest: Police believe Abdul Shokoor Ezedi's body in the Thames - BBC News

It is likely Abdul Shokoor Ezedi died after going into the river at Chelsea Bridge, police say, but his remains are yet to be found.

I hope they get confirmation either way for the victim's sake. When she has recovered enough to come out of sedation she will never feel safe again unless she knows he's dead or in prison.

It's very possible he's dead. Abusive men who go to this extreme and also include the children often fall into the family annihilator category, and they often do kill themselves afterwards.

newnamethanks · 09/02/2024 17:55

That was a severe injury which required medical treatment, not something that would improve without it. I assume he's dead.

LadyKenya · 09/02/2024 17:56

That poor woman, how will she feel safe, if she has no idea what happened to him, and where he is.

Bit odd how a body was found in the Thames a few days back that was not him. Then suddenly its decided he's likely dead in the river. How easy is it to live of grid?

Not odd loads of people end up in the river

Daffodilsandsunshine · 09/02/2024 18:02

Surely CCTV on the bridge that would show him going over? Maybe they cant pick him up CCTV anywhere else after the bridge? The Thames is a fast moving tidal river and his body could end up out at sea. That's no closure for his poor victim and her daughters.

TomatoSoupDragon · 09/02/2024 18:07

Not convinced till his body is washed up.
The police can’t find a convicted sex offender asylum seeker who was refused residency twice before converting to Christianity.

They can’t find him, it’s a fuck up, and they are saying he’s dead to reduce the incompetence we view the government with over this.

fatphalange · 09/02/2024 18:28

How the fuck did he go unnoticed for so long with his face looking like it did in that CCTV image?? Did that photo make it seem worse than the injury was? Because it looked really messed up. But then in another image, it didn't look as bad. I'm just wondering how he was wandering about with no none looking twice in central London?!

fatphalange · 09/02/2024 18:29

No one*

SinnerBoy · 09/02/2024 18:59

If he is dead, good riddance and serves him right for being in agony, with no help. It would have been better if he'd have been caught, but at least there won't be an expensive court case, loads of NHS resources and a fortune to keep the scum in prison.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/02/2024 19:12

Police "think" he's dead. Actually knowing for a fact is one thing "thinking" is another. Have they conveniently come to that conclusion to close the case.

User8646382 · 09/02/2024 19:12

Course he didn’t go over the bridge. They don’t want to find him.

EasternStandard · 09/02/2024 19:13

So if a criminal wants to get off just lean over a bridge for a bit

Great

User8646382 · 09/02/2024 19:14

Makes you wonder who’s running this country exactly.

Throwawayme · 09/02/2024 19:14

I don't believe it for a moment. They just can't find him.

LuluBlakey1 · 09/02/2024 19:14

I don't believe anything the Met suggest as 'possibilities' in any scenario. They are usually to suit them rather than protect women.

YesSirMam · 09/02/2024 19:14

Hard to say, he doesn’t seem to have anywhere to go or any means to contact people they said he walked around the park & left the same way he went in. I don’t think he had anywhere to go

Zaranj · 09/02/2024 19:15

surprising there are not cameras on the bridges too see if anyone or anything goes over.

They aren't ever going to get "closure" they've been scarred for life

They've checked for sightings of him coming off the brige.

What?

I don't think you actually can search the Thames

And yet it happens often, as a google search will show

Obviously Ezedi would be no loss to society if he really is dead, but this being the Met I really hope it's not a cover story designed to deflect blame for not having found him

beeonmybonnett · 09/02/2024 19:17

I’m so confused, can someone explain it please ? Surely if he fell into the river this would have been captured on CCTV?

TerfTalking · 09/02/2024 19:17

Well it saves on police and government funding if this is accepted as the ending. I think he’s still alive unless we see proof to the contrary.

FictionalCharacter · 09/02/2024 19:18

LittleGreenDragons · 09/02/2024 17:24

I think he's still alive and somebody is covering for him. A male member of his family has even said he's not a sex offender because he's too nice despite the police/courts saying otherwise. He's too much of a snivelling coward to kill himself.

I hope they continue to keep searching until they find a body, even if it takes ten years.

I agree, I think it's possible he's being sheltered by the community.

Pootles34 · 09/02/2024 19:18

His poor victim - she'll always be scared he survived now, won't she? Fucker.
