Looks like the coward died in the Thames [edit by MNHQ]

Police think Abdul Shokoor Ezedi "died in the Thames", having last been seen leaning over Chelsea bridge.

Couldn't face the disability and disfigurement that he had attempted to inflict on helpless girls, but rebounded onto himself , maybe.

Couldn't face justice - coward

I feel so sad for his Mum, where ever she is. Lost a son, and everyone hates him and is glad he is dead. I don't know, maybe she will be glad too, but it wont be what she dreamed of with him growing inside her, will it

i don’t- both she and his dad raised- or didn’t bother to raise- a monster who had no idea how to treat women.

FancyJapflack · 20/02/2024 17:15

Or his equally unpleasant family have offed some poor unfortunate, dressed him in his clothes and are hiding/have moved him.

To be fair to his mum, I can’t imagine that raising a son to be respectful of women is all that easy in Afghanistan…

Ah yes. No doubt they’ll also have implanted his teeth and his DNA into the poor unfortunate. The police will never think to check that, as long as the clothes match up.

Nicola1978x · 20/02/2024 17:46

Just read it on the BBC didn't know when I posted that the body had been recovered.

Jeez the conspiracy theorists and tin foil hat brigade are out again, I see..
As if forensics won’t be thoroughly checking dental records and extracting DNA from teeth

Crazy .

If he had been convicted, he would have been looking at a life sentence

I wouldn't want to assume that, @Nicola1978x
Granted the attack was clearly planned and deliberate, but he didn't actually kill her - and even if he had I doubt it would have been a whole life sentence

Most likely he'd have been out in just a few years after convincing the parole board that Jesus really is his friend Hmm

AbdulRose · 20/02/2024 18:00

While some conspiracy theorists may not be credible, it is valid to question suspicious circumstances without concrete evidence.

Concrete evidence? They've found the bloody body fgs. Would you only be satisfied if you go and personally id the body?

They found a body that is wearing clothes similar to what suspect was wearing.
The male gender and having teeth to test for DNA makes identification easy.

The bodies they found last week weren’t his.

Bodies regularly turn up in the Thames, the river Police will be onto it .

They reckon a body a week is fished out of the Thames.

They will know where to look.
Familiar with the tides and where bodies are likely to fetch up.

OK conspiracy people, please explain to us ignorant sheeple just what is being concealed, who's involved and WHY? What for? Whos gaining? Some things are just what they appear to be. This is one of them.

I would expect the minimum charge would have been GBH with intent - for which the maximum sentence is life. But it's vanishingly unlikely he'd have received a whole life tariff - only some (particularly heinous) murderers get those.

His DNA will be on record from his previous offending, so it (probably) won't take that long to identify formally by that means.

Unable to visually identify or use fingerprints means that the body has been in the water for long enough for the skin to be significantly degraded; plus effects of collisions with other debris in the water, river traffic, piers/banks; plus contact with marine life or if floating (which he seems to have been as he was spotted by crew of passing boat) then seagulls.

I think his face was burning so much that he thought to hell with his life .. stop the pain and stop running

That's my thought. He didn't intend to kill himself from the outset, he had a car there and tried to drive it. My suspicion - no more than that - is that he planned to leg it (hot wheel it) somewhere, possibly Newcastle. He didn't foresee injuring himself so badly, he was in too much pain to drive so crashed the car, he couldn't go to hospital, so after a few hours decided there was only one way out.

Catsmere · 20/02/2024 21:35

Good riddance. No sentence he received would have been an adequate punishment. Inadvertently subjecting himself to some of the same torture he inflicted upon that poor woman, then killing himself, is more like justice.

beeonmybonnett · 20/02/2024 16:24

I’m not clued enough to know much about it, I just thought it would be more obvious given his injuries.

Lol. Then why make such a ridiculous comment as if you're an expert on the subject. 😂

SurreyMumOfOne · 21/02/2024 10:05

@beeonmybonnett Not for the faint hearted, but the first paragraph of this explains why visual ID won't have been possible

I'm undecided but the police were coming under a lot of pressure for not finding this guy. It was a topic of discussion for many people in the press and I saw the police getting slated, anger was rising as to why they hadn't found him.

TheThingIsYeah · 21/02/2024 11:17

Handy for the police, the Home Office, the Church etc if he did top himself. Avoids any fúrther uncomfortable questions. Nothing to see here, move along please.

I saw most anger aimed at the decision to keep him in the country and at the people who were potentially hiding him. Both of which aren’t aimed at the police. The police come under pressure all the time. Given there were others being focused on I don’t see this case as being especially damaging for the police so don’t think the conspiracy theory makes any sense. I mean why don’t they cover up cases like Wayne Cousins which is directly damaging to the police but they apparently cover this one up?

Maybe the nature of this particular case heightened pressure in that it involved a dangerous substance (i.e other members of the public at immediate risk at any time), could be a racial element and also the extra embarrassment that he had an obvious injury but still couldn't find him.

Longdarkcloud · 21/02/2024 12:49

I think the focus should be on the victims and forget about the monster perpetrator.
The poor woman was raising 2 children on her own and no doubt met the perp in hopes of having a happy relationship and providing her children with a stable home.
Now she is horribly disfigured and will face many ops to give her a semblance of normality and will no doubt have long term mental health problems, depression and guilt as regards her DCs involvement.
What of her future.
Maybe there should be a national campaign to raise money to ensure she and her DC have at least financial security as it’s unlikely she’ll be able to work in the foreseeable future
