Police think Abdul Shokoor Ezedi "died in the Thames", having last been seen leaning over Chelsea bridge.

Couldn't face the disability and disfigurement that he had attempted to inflict on helpless girls, but rebounded onto himself , maybe.

Couldn't face justice - coward

I don't believe it for a moment. They just can't find him.

I'm not even sure they have the resources to actually look.

APickUpFullOfPinkCarnations · 12/02/2024 01:14

I hope some families will get closure from the two bodies they have found in the Thames while searching for him.

So what were those boats and divers on / in the Thames actually doing over the weekend?

PinkCandles · 12/02/2024 12:33

The police are in a better position to know what happened than any of us are. A lot of people didn't believe Nicola B was in the water either but the police were right about that.

Clapham chemical attack: Police looking for Abdul Shokoor Ezedi find body - BBC News

They found a body yesterday, believed to be his from clothing and personal effects. Visual and fingerprint ID not possible, so formal confirmation will be by DNA and/or dental records.

Found near the Tower Pier (a few miles downstream of Chelsea Bridge)

(Edited to correct link - hope it's working now)

SinnerBoy · 20/02/2024 13:19

Oh well, it's not a tragedy that he'll never do it again and has saved tax payers a fortune for a trial and prison.

oakleaffy · 20/02/2024 13:36

Deeply cowardly unpleasant bully- Any decent man takes a woman finishing with him as part of life- They wouldn’t seek to maim an ex and her children- Nasty little creep will never hurt another woman again , and taxpayers will be spared paying for his keep in jail.

LizBennet · 20/02/2024 13:39

Good riddance.

SquirmOfEels · 20/02/2024 14:34

With apologies for not mentioning it in earlier post, the (still unnamed) woman he attacked remains in hospital and her condition is now described as stable. The police reported that she is no longer sedated, but they have not yet spoken to her.

Westfacing · 20/02/2024 14:37

That's good news.

The poor woman and her children will at least have the comfort of knowing that they are now safe. Imagine spending the rest of your life wondering if the bastard is going to re-appear at any time.

I heard that the police have still not been able to talk to her - she must be so ill Sad

Americano75 · 20/02/2024 15:34

Good riddance. Bastard.

Fingers crossed it really is him ...

beeonmybonnett · 20/02/2024 15:59

Surely they would know right away if it is him or not? It’s only been a couple of weeks so he can’t look that much different? Also, surely the massive burn on his face would be a pretty good indicator more than anything else?

newnamethanks · 20/02/2024 16:09

Sigh. There won't be very much face left. Do you think they haven't identified drowned bodies before?

I’m not clued enough to know much about it, I just thought it would be more obvious given his injuries.

I imagine fish have eaten some if it

SurreyMumOfOne · 20/02/2024 16:37

They always have to formal identification. There's enough that they're pretty sure it's him or they wouldn't be saying so, however for the formalities, they can't use visual or fingerprints, hence having to use other methods which take longer. It basically means 'be patient'.

The poor lady must be in a really really bad way. What an absolute bastard he was.

After two weeks in water, it is highly likely there is significant decomposition, a lack of identifiable facial tissue, potentially teeth missing. It is probable there is no longer any evidence of the facial burn as it's likely the tissue is mostly gone. Two weeks is quite an advanced state of decomposition, even in a wet environment.

Two days and you might have a point.

I feel so sad for his Mum, where ever she is. Lost a son, and everyone hates him and is glad he is dead. I don't know, maybe she will be glad too, but it wont be what she dreamed of with him growing inside her, will it

Itscatsallthewaydown · 20/02/2024 16:53

Good riddance. I hope that filthy river water tasted nice.

Nicola1978x · 20/02/2024 16:56

Hi,
It's convenient drowning in the Thames, the trouble is he's escaped Justice and a trial.
It was a disappointing outcome; if he had been convicted, he would have been looking at a life sentence, and I very much doubt he would have had an easy time in prison.
In fairness, we don't yet have a body, so who knows where he is right now?

fedupandstuck · 20/02/2024 16:58

The police wouldn't announce this in connection this case without being pretty certain that it's him. They will just be waiting for the formal confirmation before they state it as a certainty.

SinnerBoy · 20/02/2024 17:12

They HAVE recovered a body and the clothes are a good match to what he was seen wearing.
