Have you ever seen anything weird being transported?

Last summer we were heading back from a day at the coast. There was an estate car in front of us which looked like it had a large dog in the back. As we got closer we realised it was a really small horse!
Have you seen anything strange while out and about?

When I was in Romania, over ten years ago, I saw a couple of sheep in the back of a mini and a doctored car being pulled along by cows.

We had large parts of a wind turbine delivered to the port here. There was much time spent measuring every last corner to checking it could be manoeuvred through the town. They started at about 5 am on a Sunday and it took several hours of careful driving to get it through the town.

We used to see them transporting wind turbines from the port, but only the tower bit, I never saw the blades.

Not weird as such but a nuclear weapons convoy last summer was surreal to say the least.

Have tried to find something about this one, it made the news years ago but sadly my googling skills are lacking.
Around early 90s I often saw a replica elephant on the back of a flatbed truck. Being driven around Leeds/Bradford. Ages later after I stopped seeing it, it was on the news that the truck and elephant had been stolen and it was either an artwork or in use as a prop in a play, and if we saw it to ring the police. I never saw it again but it stuck in my mind.
Often wondered if it was ever found and wondered who the hell wanted a replica elephant so badly.

I saw a real elephant chained to a flat bed truck. 😔

A police tractor. Not particularly odd in itself (although I do think they're quite funny) but it was driving very slowly down the M4 !

I've also seen a small aeroplane on a flatbed trailer, also on the M4.

A spitfire and on a separate occasion, a steam engine.

Oh also the wings for the angel of the north. My uncle was one of the welders and took me to see them going out.

Wow they must have been huge!

Oh, forgot about this, Concorde on its final journey downstream on the Thames from Isleworth.

Chickens being held upside down, alive, by a cyclist.
Very heavy ladies going to see a famous witchdoctor healer near where I used to live (same country) on a padded floral upholstered seat on the back of bikes being pedaled through sand by long suffering lads 1/4 their size. There were no regular taxis from the main road but judging by their gold jewellery he was clearly the healer to the ladies who lunch (a lot).

In the UK, the Birds Custard tanker which we decided must be full of industrial strength custard for institutions.

This is also great.

Years and years ago as a broke student traveling on a bus from Amsterdam to Paris we passed a car where the driver appeared to be nude and had multiple blow up dolls in the car. They appeared to have to share seatbelts. The man siting next to me pulled the curtain so I cannot confirm if driver was nude or not.

We once transported a bird aviary with one solid back wall and 3 wire mesh walls [think size of a largish wardrobe]....from the house we'd sold to the new place. It was complete with it's occupants as it was easier that way and we were rushed for time.

It went into an estate car quite well flat on it's back, just sticking out a bit at the back...so the hatchback was open [and very well secured] for all to see.

The 7 budgies were sitting in a row on their top perch and facing back towards following traffic, trying to keep their balance as we cornered and when the road was uneven.

We got many beeps and thumbs up on route. We didn't have far to go and I think the birds quite enjoyed it. We then stood the aviary upright and no budgies were hurt in the process. It was very funny.

I was up a mountain in Switzerland sitting eating lunch and saw a cow being airlifted by helicopter when we had a meal that night we entertained with our story of a flying cow. Felt sorry for the cow must have been traumatic and expensive

Yesterday evening I drove past a set of roadworks which had finished, and the workers had been removing all the barriers, cones and mobile traffic lights. As I got there, the flatbed truck with the traffic lights loaded upright on it drove away. Someone had clearly forgotten to switch them off, and they were still merrily changing colour as they went past me.😂
