What's going on at yours tonight?

I'm doom scrolling, waiting for everyone to shower so I can go to bed in peace 💤💤 . I've been scrolling for some new paint brushes but not really sure what to buy - my current ones are from The Works & are knackered, but I don't know what I'm looking for really 🤷‍♀️

Dd1's just in the shower & will hopefully be done very soon! Dd2's faffing with her hair and practising make up, as usual. She was doing maths homework but has packed up for the night now.

What's going on at yours?

I'm at A&E, three hours into the queue. Starting to fill up with Friday night colourful characters now, so noisy, boiling hot and I'm starving. Glum, tbh.

Nothing much, no DC (last min) and I feel strangely unsettled home alone with the quiet.

Already tidied house and had a bath, can’t really concentrate on a book or tv.
At least I’ll get a lay in though!

Contemplating a take away after realising now 2x dd's have pt jobs I don't need to pay for theirs anymore!!

I'm watching old reruns of coronation Street while having a wee vodka and coke....hubby is up in bed with sore legs and daughter is in shower. Run of the mill stuff.🤗🤗

We've had a takeaway and me and DH are watching the second series of the Johnny Vegas camping thing.
DS15 gaming and talking to his mates.
All very pleased it's Friday!
I'm going to bed with a cuppa at 10 as I got 7 books out of the library this morning so want to peruse.
High octane stuff😁

DP has just left to go to the pub and I’ve ordered myself a takeaway! DS has just finished his tea (he didn’t went a takeaway) and he’s gone upstairs to play FIFA. I’m going to watch a good crime documentary with my food. I’m normally working a Friday night so this makes a lovely change

I’ve finally managed to persuade DD into the shower. I got 4 questions correct on university challenge so I’m feeling quite chipper.
The pup is chewing random toys and stuff.
I'm on antibiotics and really fancy a glass of wine. It’s the second lot of antibiotics and I need them to work.

God I wish I was home alone in the quiet. DS2 trying his best to get to sleep whilst DS1 wails and cries about his dad being out and not wanting to go to bed and the fact that he didn’t suggest new iPad rules himself earlier (when in fact he truly did). I’m really starting to suspect there is something just not right with him. I’d just like to go to bed and cry myself but instead I’m waiting for him to decide he’s ready to leave the bathroom. Fun times!

Watching the rugby with a glass of wine having done the dusting, hoovering, cleaned the bathroom, changed the bed sheets, put the bins and recycling out, had a chat with my neighbour, popped to the supermarket, washed hair and shaved legs since I logged off work at 4:30. Is it too early to go to bed??

Just booked an holiday to Fueterventura.. six weeks and counting..
Finished knitting my scarf..( same Yarn and scarf as worn by Sarah Lancashire in Happy Valley) hopefully my new Yarn will arrive tomorrow).
Laid in bed with cat. Going to watch Grandchester then read until tired.

DH left a couple of hours ago for a weekend visiting his sister.

The DC and I have made a start on a Lego Hedwig and now we're listening to an audiobook in my bed.

I want to get into bed but numbnuts here booked a tesco delivery for anytime between now and 10pm because I took a risk to book a flexi saver time slot hoping it would come a lot earlier. Even the cat is shouting at me to get into bed because she wants treats.

We've had takeout pizza and we're watching the rugby with ds2. Ds1 is at work.
I'm really tired and a bit bored so I might go for a bath shortly and read my book in bed.
Thrilling stuff in the duckbone house!

Feeling a bit empty nestish! Youngest DD (child no 4) has just signed a tenancy on her first property, very excited for her but after 34 years of children at home it is going to be very strange. Had a celebratory Chinese as husband got a tip from work and bought some boots on ebay. Drinking wine and missing her already even though she hasnt moved out yet. Even the cat knows something is going on and is being especially attentive.

DH is on the PS4, I've had a soak in the bath, and am now laying in bed debating going to sleep or continue reading. Dog is flat out at the bottom of the bed. Up at 5am for day 6 of work, so I think sleep will win!

We just had to break the news to our DC that their Grandad (my fil) died this afternoon from his cancer. So we're all mopping each other up.
