I'm doom scrolling, waiting for everyone to shower so I can go to bed in peace 💤💤 . I've been scrolling for some new paint brushes but not really sure what to buy - my current ones are from The Works & are knackered, but I don't know what I'm looking for really 🤷‍♀️

Dd1's just in the shower & will hopefully be done very soon! Dd2's faffing with her hair and practising make up, as usual. She was doing maths homework but has packed up for the night now.

What's going on at yours?

Not much going on here, was watching Nightmare on Elm Street and ate crackers with melted camembert but then got bored. Can't believe how young Johnny Depp looked. Reminds me of being a teen myself.

Might phone one of my best friends in a sec.

Daughter is out at her Friday night craft group then staying at a friend's. I believe karaoke and WKD is on the cards.

Husband is also out, having a meal and a pub evening then also staying at a friend's. Will probably also end up doing karaoke knowing him.

I'm parked on the sofa with the dogs, I've had a lovely long shower, got a bottle of wine on the go, some banging horseradish crisps, watching Korean horror movies and half heartedly crocheting a hat for my greyhound just for fun. Karaoke unlikely but not impossible.

I bloody love Fridays.

The youngest two have football training 6-8 ( seriously, couldn't the wee buggers pick after school clubs) no, no!

Now we're apparently watching the rugby, which none of us understand but as the nephew plays in the Scotland's under squad we pretend we do.

dd1 and dd2 are VERY quiet upstairs, I will NOT disturb the peace to see what's happening up there.

I'm having wine, and on here obviously.

Hi lucysmam & everyone - nice to have an evening thread. I’m recuperating after keyhole surgery earlier in the week. The pain relief at the hospital was great but I’m very sore on the everyday stuff 😢 DH is being a star. DD15 is at her girlfriend’s. Watching The Repair Shop & might put Greys Anatomy on in a bit.

I have DD2 (19) home from uni just for the night as she is going on a bus from here with a friend early tomorrow to visit another friend at a uni further north. Home is on way so she is breaking her journey here. I have cooked a favourite meal and DD1 is staying in as she really misses her sister. So the 5 of us ( DH and DS as well) are about to settle to watch some TV together. It’s so lovely to see her.

Rugby is on. DH watching and shouting at the Ref! I'm presently in the process of nurse revalidation so have been on my laptop.
Got my grandson tomorrow so will probably head up to bed soon.

Drank three glasses of cava, watched The Apprentice and After the Flood on catchup, now off to bed.

However hospital has decided that my mum can be discharged from hospital tonight . She been in for pneumonia and sepsis , only came off oxygen this morning and can barely walk while struggling for breath . At 3pm her o2 was 93% and she was still running a fever

My sister is there and is trying desperately to explain that there is no one at home to help her if they send her home tonight . Wouldn't be until past midnight as she still has canualas, no discharge paperwork started and no take home meds issued

If they discharge her in the morning I can be there to live with her for the next week . I know they are desperate for beds but it's honestly unsafe for her to go home now

So basically I'm grumpy and stressed

Dh at the clinic for his dialysis as per 3 x a week.

Ds just came in from meeting mate in pub.

Dd upstairs probably going to have an early night.

I'm tidying up, doing laundry, and listening to audiobook. Had an intermittent fast day today. Had a long shower earlier and was worrying that I've done badly in the final assessment of my course I've been doing.

Fox going "WOWOWOWOW!" in the garden as he's been doing every night for days. Quite unusual to be so persistent. Usually just does that blood curdling scream instead. 🦊

Definitely stick to your guns . 93%sats are crap . She will end up back in hospital as a failed discharge. Good luck 💐💪

Sounds like you have a lot on. Also grumpy and stressed here. Relative in and out of hospital and 3am calls are not soothing for the soul.

Had new super fast broadband installed today so getting all the devices added on so that I can then shut down the DCs Wi-Fi whenever I like!

DH on a nightshift, DC1 upstairs chilling and chatting to pals online. DC2 watching the end of a film with me. She's about to be chased to bed. Then I'll have a cup of tea and go read my book.

I'm lay on my bed waiting for my toenails to dry with a face mask on. I've had a bit of a pamper as I'm feeling a bit crap at the moment. Trying to stay positive red toenails and a bit of fake tan might cheer me up at bit!

The dc have 3 football matches and a netball match between them tomorrow started at 8.30 so I will be up and out early. I also have two extra 9 year olds coming for a play date.

I've had one glass of wine and deciding whether to risk another. If I do there is every chance I will be awake at 3am worrying about stuff that hasn't even happened yet.
This from the woman that used to be able to drink a bottle before she went out and sleep like the dead.
Menopause is shite!

Watching last episode of The Tourist - so disappointing but feel I have to finish it (though I'm also on my phone). Made fajitas in the air fryer for tea and finished a bottle of wine. DH on the x box and DC in bed. Not bad as Friday nights go.

Takeaway and tv with dh tonight. We are out tomorrow. I've had a really hard week at work and had a little meltdown earlier to myself so I'm trying to put myself first for tonight.

I was in the living room waxing my bikini. I was down there doing it and not in the bathroom because the kids have been up and down are were constantly at the bathroom door. Anyway dh decided to let the takeaway guy stand on the doorway while he came into the front room to ask if I'd paid online. Hopefully the poor guy didn't get an eye full and is not traumatised for life. Ffs dh
