Gran Canaria having another go at Gatwick!

SurreyMumOfOne · 22/01/2024 00:56

Haven't quite gone to bed yet 🤦‍♀️

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/01/2024 00:56

It’s interesting that EasyJet mention this specifically about Gibraltar flights. Doesn’t sound like there’s any special “my flight go diverted” leeway

What’s the code for the Shannon one? I am starting to wonder why these flights were even allowed to take off given that hardly any were landing earlier this evening

Looks like Tui is pulling both of its ones away from Gatwick, they're heading NE.

StinkyLittleBastrads · 22/01/2024 00:56

Where's Antalya to Manchester going? Back upto 40kft

Stringagal · 22/01/2024 00:56

JellicleCat · 22/01/2024 00:51

Shannon didn't land. So we'll see where it goes. Don't understand why they don't go round for a second go

Someone on the other thread said they have to attempt landing for insurance purposes. I’m wondering if logistically it’s better for them to have the planes and crew in other cities overnight, but they have go through the formalities for whatever insurance related reason

Haven't quite gone to bed yet 🤦‍♀️

I’ve made it to bed, teeth cleaned in record time, but I’m still hooked.

PamelaParis · 22/01/2024 00:58

I live very close to Edinburgh airport and I'm finding it scary enough just lying in bed! Really feel for all the poor souls up on a plane in this.

StinkyLittleBastrads · 22/01/2024 00:58

RIGA @ Edinburgh 🤞🤞

SurreyMumOfOne · 22/01/2024 00:58

The EasyJet having another go at Gatwick, is the one which isn't a Neo. I'm fascinated by what pp said about the older ones being easier to handle.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/01/2024 00:59

The Dublin Edinburgh that’s heading away is now at over 37000 so it’s got to be cologne bound surely?

Cologne is just going to be full of people wanting to be in Edinburgh!

BungledBundle · 22/01/2024 00:59

Yay, riga edinburgh landed!

JellicleCat · 22/01/2024 00:59

Riga flight has landed at Edinburgh. Well done pilot

IceWhites · 22/01/2024 01:00

It’s just so unfortunate that cologne is an option (I know it has a Ryanair base) because I’d rather be in Amsterdam or Paris because least then you’d have the option of a Eurostar home if it came to it!

StinkyLittleBastrads · 22/01/2024 01:01

Do you think that puts more pressure on Shannon.??

I could never be a pilot.

I don't even think I could drive a taxi 😂

fridaynight1 · 22/01/2024 01:01

Yay Ryanair has landed one in Edinburgh. Lets hope its the first of many.

JellicleCat · 22/01/2024 01:01

Goodness, Edinburgh is busy. Shannon going in for a second try, Dublin 2 stacking? and a Stansted flight on approach

pinkpetunias · 22/01/2024 01:01

And gran Canaria is back up..

SurreyMumOfOne · 22/01/2024 01:02

Gran Canaria climbing again as well. Does there come a point where they just stop trying?

SurreyMumOfOne · 22/01/2024 01:02

As in, don't even bother in the first place.
