Estimated arrival time is now 12:21am.

If it was going to Amsterdam, I'd be less time.

So fuck knows where its headed now!

Problem is Flightradar is still doing it's sums on the basis it's going to EDI..

Am now in agreement with the Germany idea

Malbecfan · 21/01/2024 23:49

@RedToothBrush I think you're right. Wizz do have a base at Luton.

Berlin or Dortmund perhaps. Ryanair fly to those

AgathaMystery · 21/01/2024 23:49

Zurich London has properly given up I think…

Malbecfan · 21/01/2024 23:49

Just heard on the BBC that there is now a red weather warning over N Scotland...

SurreyMumOfOne · 21/01/2024 23:49

I'd missed that the EZY from Munich to Gatwick has tried twice already!

fridaynight1 · 21/01/2024 23:50

Looks like the Ryanair Tenerife to Edinburgh is going to Amsterdam

Bundeena · 21/01/2024 23:50

Zurich to Gatwick is now heading to France.

BalloonsInWater · 21/01/2024 23:50

Really feeling for those Tenerife passengers, they'll be back where they started in a minute 🤢

SurreyMumOfOne · 21/01/2024 23:52

Looks like EZY Antalya to Luton is giving up after two go rounds.

Whatthetrolley · 21/01/2024 23:52

Not sure how Luton is this has aborted at least 1 landing on the last half hour

JellicleCat · 21/01/2024 23:53

I would be livid if I was on that Tenerife flight and knew planes were landing in Edinburgh, which they seem to be doing fine at the moment

RedToothBrush · 21/01/2024 23:53

Wizz air plane has to do a full turn to land at stansted. Its an easier turn into Luton from where it is.

IceWhites · 21/01/2024 23:53

Feeling mostly sorry for the pilots/staff who are working extra shift and must be exhausted. Least the passengers can have a little sleep if they want to.

Stringagal · 21/01/2024 23:54

BalloonsInWater · 21/01/2024 23:48

Yes this is a great advert for BA and a poor one for Wizzair and Ryanair.

Looks like Istanbul are trying for Stansted or are they too high? Is 10k minimum altitude over london?

Ditto Jet2 up north, or at least Leeds. They’ve been awesome and managed to land every flight today I think, other airlines haven’t managed any.

KLM and Aer Lingus didn’t even try, just cancelled. Ryanair has been over a million times on several flights but all got diverted.

(Not me sitting watching FR24 since lunchtime)

BalloonsInWater · 21/01/2024 23:54

Where are Munich going? They're pointing at Heathrow but at 20k feet

JellicleCat · 21/01/2024 23:54

Oh yes, totally sorry for the pilots and crew.

IceWhites · 21/01/2024 23:55

Probably being ridiculous but wizzair one seems to be a bit low for Luton!

Birmingham ? Who knows at this point

MirandaWest · 21/01/2024 23:55

I think Istanbul is coming into stansted as it’s at about 2,500 feet

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 21/01/2024 23:55

Tenerife is still at 37000 feet so definitely not going to Amsterdam I’d say. Way too high.

RedToothBrush · 21/01/2024 23:56

Nope looks like Wizz air IS going to Stansted. I'm wrong.

UpTheAnte · 21/01/2024 23:56

Come on Wizz!

Edited

Looks like he's made the tighter turn! Dropping too.

Malbecfan · 21/01/2024 23:56

Being geeky, the Wizz Air is an A321 Neo. They are apparently more lively to handle in challenging conditions than the older generation A320 family CEO jets. That may be why some carriers (BA/Aer Lingus) are managing. Jet 2 has a mixture of aircraft types including Boeing 737s.
