Barcelona -Dub jumping the queue there!

ohmydiddlydays · 21/01/2024 22:41

Oh spoke too soon...

mauvish · 21/01/2024 22:42

Now if you had a non-EU passport, and had got a visa to land in the UK, andthen your plane was diverted to France or similar - a country for which you didn't have a visa - what would happen to a passenger in this position? I guess if they stay airside at the airport it's not an issue, but if the passengers on that flight are in the lucky position of an airline sorting out a hotel for them, what would happen?

Mojodojocasahaus · 21/01/2024 22:42

The mystery of the Brussels to East Mids is solved! It’s going to Leipzig. Someone’s parcel is going to be delayed cos of storm Isha

DoodleMum12 · 21/01/2024 22:42

I’m not going to respond to that ridiculous reply to my post. Looks like Leeds is a no go at the moment.

Stringagal · 21/01/2024 22:42

PolledandBolled · 21/01/2024 22:40

Just asked pilot friend, Alicante-Leeds he reckons is going over the wash to dump fuel before returning to Leeds?! Not sure looks like may be going Amsterdam!

I can’t stop watching it! Heading north-west again now but too high to be landing at Humberside

jmx3 · 21/01/2024 22:42

Where is Manchester - Dublin off to now?!

Onacuctustree · 21/01/2024 22:42

I am a complete AV geek.
I just don't understand why fights from Edinburgh, Cardiff etc were allowed to take off into Dublin.
Weather conditions were known.

wildernesssw · 21/01/2024 22:43

Another just tried Gatwick, without success

RoséProsecco · 21/01/2024 22:43

@VWd - I live under the flight path in Edinburgh & it's wild & wolly out there!

Watchkeys · 21/01/2024 22:43

Are people on this thread mainly people who have professional training or relatives in/piloting these planes? Or like me, looking layman-style at FlightRadar going 'Oooh, wiggly planes!'

I initially read it as 'Flight Trader', too, like 'Auto Trader'... such a novice...

VWd · 21/01/2024 22:43

Fuerteventura flight to Edinburgh go around it seems or might just go elsewhere

notimagain · 21/01/2024 22:43

Soggydog · 21/01/2024 22:31

How can you tell how many feet it is flying at please? First time watching it and am clueless.

Again just another heads up that Flightradar can be very inaccurate with altitude data at low altitude, especially on nights like tonight due to the low atmospheric pressure. For example at Dublin earlier the error was about a thousand feet out.

It's a bit better (in terms of replicating what's seen on the aircraft altimeters) at high altitude, above 6000 feet or so for the UK..

Butterflytown · 21/01/2024 22:44

Malaga Gatwick and Barcelona Gatwick have both just landed at Paris after a couple of failed attempts each to land at Gatwick.

mauvish · 21/01/2024 22:44

The Wroclaw flight is still circling LBA at altitude. I wonder when they will decide to give up?

JobMatch3000 · 21/01/2024 22:44

Where is Manchester-Dublin off to? It seems some planes are managing to land there at the moment.

Dixiechick1991 · 21/01/2024 22:44

I’m watching the leeds flights as I’m ten mins from the airport. It is still veryVERY strong winds here. Even landing on a slightly breezy summer day at LBA is bumpy. I can’t imagine how they’re feeling up there.

Layman style here 🤷🏻‍♀️ scared of flying (although I manage to but hate every second) so I think that’s my fascination with it

Raspberrymoon49 · 21/01/2024 22:44

Ex cabin crew here

Ra5pberryLemonade · 21/01/2024 22:45

Ams - Ncl just came straight in, why arent the North East airports being used more while less impacted by wind? At least get people into the destination country???

I have a bit of an obsession with Cabin Pressure.

I am sure some of MJN's flights would be very interesting on Flight Radar. Especially Boston

That is an excellent question, it is going massively inland. Surely too far inland to be a loop?

NCL not a big airport and won’t have as much space for parked planes.
