There’s a reason why air traffic control was voted the job most likely to have issues with alcoholism and suicidal- it’s no easy feat having lives in your hands and they don’t pay that well either. Hats off to Atc they’re incredible

Istanbul to Gatwick tried but had to give up - I wonder whether they'll try again?

We’ve just had two failed landings on Dublin so I guess they are waiting till others successfully land on Dublin. The only alternative is returning to Manchester which I guess economically they won’t want to do.

@mauvish sorry I missed where you had quoted me, go around is another word for failed landing. Circling is the same as being in a holding pattern.

@loobylou10 Ha I know! It snows where I am but as I’m commuting to work the snow is less and by the time I get there, there is no snow 😂

Hardly any flights in Scotland at all now, one or two due to arrive at Glasgow and Edinburgh in the next few minutes and the worst of the wind is just about to hit us. Now watching these ones

Well, that has just ruined the admiration I had for pilots. I thought they were wonderful to fly such neat tidy ovals and it was a computer all this time!

I have no idea where it's going. Maybe they are having a vote on board the plane?

There is no Hull airport! Humberside Airport is in Lincolnshire. Mainly used as a hop to Schipol or for flights /helicopters to rigs. If they land there, there are zero transport options for the passengers.

Just asked pilot friend, Alicante-Leeds he reckons is going over the wash to dump fuel before returning to Leeds?! Not sure looks like may be going Amsterdam!

It managed so there’s hope for the Manchester Dublin flight that has done about 6 circles, think it is easing over to attempt to land.
