That's not a coffee or carrot cake as I make those quite a lot. Bit bored of chocolate. Fancy making something a bit different on Sunday as I have a whole day to myself child free. Any ideas?

School cake! I went for dinner at a friend’s this week and she made us school cake for pudding. Vanilla sponge with thick, sticky icing and sprinkles 🤤

I also love Black Forest Gateux and would love a home made one. I haven't had a decent one in years

I can only make lemon drizzle

My go to cakes are lemon drizzle (made by weighing the eggs and using same amount of butter, sugar & sr flour, zest & juice of a lemon, and using the zest & juice of another lemon with icing sugar for the drizzle), and sticky ginger cake like the Jamaican ginger cake you can buy. Best left wrapped for a few days before eating.

This oil and vinegar chocolate cake is super easy: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/7475/crazy-cake/

as are almond buns: melt 70 g butter, mix 125 g ground almonds, 125 g sugar, 20 g flour, and 2 eggs whites, add the melted butter, stir thoroughly, put in individual muffin cases and bake at 200°c for 15 minutes.

Red velvet cake as long as it has really cream cheese frosting not butter cream imitation 😋

Lemon drizzle or brownies. Oooh or cherry Bakewell if that counts as cake?
