OMG at the quote I have just been given for breast implants & lift!

I mean, it was my first enquiry so wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. However, after doing some googling I was thinking around the £8-10k mark for a lift & implants (keeping in mind I DO NOT want big boobs, I suppose i’d go for the smallest implant possible as it’s just to fill my small saggy boobs post breastfeeding! I liked my original size (small B cup) but now they are just incredibly empty.

It seems companies such as Transform, Harley Medical Group etc charge much less than independent surgeons. I did indeed contact an independent surgeon and the STARTING cost is to be £25k+.

i just wasn’t expecting it to be that much but oh well. That isn’t doable… but I wonder how they really differ from surgeons employed by Transform, Harley Medical etc?

In need of advise?!

Oh I'm so pleased a red blooded male has stepped in to advise us what to do with our bodies

MotherofGorgons · 18/01/2024 12:54

I watched Real Housewives of Beverley Hills recently, and having Yolanda get her implants removed because they were killing her, was the most terrifying and unnecessary thing I have seen in ages. While David Foster smirked next to her, looking ancient and knowing he would never have to shoot his body full of poison.

Mumstaxi100 · 18/01/2024 12:56

I did quite a few UK consultations, ranging from 10-13k some I really didn’t like the thought of being a day case.
I did a UK consultation with a clinic based in Lithuania, and went out for surgery Dec 2022. Paid around £5000 and my care was excellent. I was so unwell with my gallbladder and waiting on the NHS I returned last year to get it removed and was just as impressed.

Why on earth should the OP care what you, a random man, think of her breasts? Confused

Feelingcrappy2 · 18/01/2024 12:56

Thanks ladies. Stopped breastfeeding around 4 months ago, never knew that they could potentially change (although they are literally completely empty I’m not holding too much hope!).

It’s just the fact that I can’t wear certain things, nothing low cut because the gap between them is crazy and soo noticeable saggy right from the top of the boob. So low cut tops/dresses are an absolute no.

Unfortunately push up bras don’t do it either, my boobs literally fold over in a push up bra and just go the most unusual and unattractive shape?!

@Shallowhal2 🤣🤣🤣 aww poor man still hasn’t learned we don’t give a crap what he thinks of our bodies

Imposter1212 · 18/01/2024 12:58

Was the quote given after an inperson consultation and examination.

I'd be very wary of and swerve a surgeon who issues a quote after seeing photos and no physical examination.

Honestly you said one surgeon quoted £7k. If this was after an inperson consultation and examination I'd say that is reasonable pricing.

Lol at you assuming this is about you. Bless.

bellinisurge · 18/01/2024 12:59

I'd spend the money on a fantastic but expensive capsule wardrobe that you know makes you look brilliant. If I had that kind of money to spend on my appearance.

HiCandles · 18/01/2024 12:59

4 months is far too early to worry! Wait 2 years then decide before spending the money. It's completely normal for breasts to get their fullness back but it does take time.

How long should did you stop breastfeeding? Mine were quite deflated for quite a years but plumped up again maybe 6 years after I stopped

ianshe · 18/01/2024 13:01

The more I think about it the weirder I find it that a man would open Mumsnet, find a thread on breast implants, reply to it talking about the feel and TASTE of our breasts before and after surgery and think we would give a flying FUCK on his opinion. Ew. Leave us alone.

Bubbles254 · 18/01/2024 13:02

Have you tried weight training? If you build up your chest muscles it can really help lift your breasts.

Imposter1212 · 18/01/2024 13:02

Oh wait I thought you posted last night.

Oh well, 25k is extreme. From my research about 6 years ago it was around £5k so I'd expect £8-10k now for a decent surgeon with decent aftercare.

ianshe · 18/01/2024 13:02

Ah i see it's been deleted now, I'll get off my soapbox 😂 thanks Mn

Mate. Read the room.

Marmunia106675 · 18/01/2024 13:04

Most women who have breast implants look like inflated clowns IMHO.

ralpix · 18/01/2024 13:05

it took about two years for my breast to return to normal after breastfeeding. I had very sad, droopy boobs after I stopped.
They're back to normal now.
I'm not a breast surgeon but I really think you should wait another 7-12 months minimum before you think about surgery.

ralpix · 18/01/2024 13:07

in fact, wait longer. They'll return to (almost) normal.
I promise!

Anonandonwego · 18/01/2024 13:11

I think you need to give yourself some breathing space to save, to let the hormones leave your system and to return to normality again. If you still feel like this in a couple of years once all of that happens go out for quotes again.

Bodies are bodies and they shift and change with time. Breast surgery is massively invasive and due to our hormones and diets soon needs redoing when our bodies change again.

Feelingcrappy2 · 18/01/2024 13:11

Do you really think they will return to normal? Of course I won’t post a picture but kinda wish I could show you all 🤣 honestly…. They are EMPTY!! As in… when I walk run they quite literally sound like i’m slapping myself.. bloody hell 🤣

And why do you suppose anyone cares?

lifesnotaspectatorsport · 18/01/2024 13:12

I would wait a while longer. I never thought my boobs would bounce back after bf twins but a few years on, they are really not bad at all. A little fuller than I'd like but quite pert and not empty at all.

Did you not see the whole thread on this?! Much to my delight, most of the comments were women saying "yeah it took a year or two but my boobs stopped being saggy sacks and got perkier!"

Something to do with fat cells I can't really remember

I was absolutely buzzing to read it 🤣

Wait it out! You should never have surgery on something that's likely going to change as you might not like how it looks when it does
