I am interested in any brilliant 80s songs that you think should be better known.

LOVE this. I have fond memories of singing along with “hot dog, jumping frogs, I wanna cookie!” In the back of my Dads car as an 80’s preschooler with my younger brother 😄

Loving the love for Voice of the Beehive, their Let it Bee albumn was criminally underrated. Saw them live( and they were AMAZING) and even kissed their bass player Martin !!

Other faves included-

Sweet 16- Billy Idol.

When will you make my telephone ring? Deacon Blue- Their Raintown albumn was soooooo beautiful and the soundtrack to my teens.

The promise you made- Cock Robin.

Honey be good- The Bible.

The flame- Cheap trick.

Secret Garden - Tpau- I loved this band and still listen to them today. Ironically I hate China in your hand and its the only one of their songs that ever gets played!!

Japan - Ghosts. Well known at the time, but seems to have been forgotten.

@Redannie118 yes to Raintown, I absolutely loved it , still do. I recently heard a listening party with Deacon Blue and their second album, but for me Raintown is in a different league!

@Uachtar this from Lick the Tins is my favourite favourite too. Getting happy nostalgia from lots of the tunes being mentioned here.

I LOVED Japan but yes they seem to have been forgotten.
Nightporter is the soundtrack to my teenage angst.
In fact The Experience of Swimming and Taking Islands in Africa came up on my Spotify yesterday. Amazing tracks.
