Weird things that make you cringe

Do you have any odd things that make you cringe?

I find the sound of water being poured into a jug or glass really cringe.. it’s so odd. Water coming out of a tap is fine, but it’s that gluggy noise. My daughter had a relaxing video on YouTube today and it had a stream with some twinkly music over the top.. the bloody stream going over a rock was making a similar gluggy noise and making me cringe 🤣.

Anyone else have anything similar and ridiculous?!

And highlighted hair. It just looks like normal, shiny hair with weird yellow, crunchy, dead chunks of straw added.

Those stupid lip fillers where I imagine the inside of your lip would now be on the outside as they're so stretched.

I'm sure someone will say they've had it done and it's subtle and not noticeable. Well, what's the point of that?! A procedure where you look very silly or it makes no difference...

And anyone who says "pop of colour" should be shot. I struggled to type it.

The only thing I can think of (and I will possibly be flamed for this) is accents. South African and also that nasal North American one. There is a patient on one of the wards at the moment who must be American. Very nasally. Like fingers down a chalk board!!!

Is it vocal fry?

Those gauge ear piercings
Septum piercings
American tan tights
Condoms

Oh and Ed Sheeran and his songs

The use of “cringe” as an adjective. Every time I see it used this way I cringe. For the avoidance of doubt, a thing can be cringey, or cringeworthy, or cringemaking, not cringe. To cringe is a verb.

I can't watch close-ups of food being prepared or eaten. No idea why, it just gives me a visceral reaction.

Plug holes.

Eggy bread.

My husband's sneezes.

The feel of tweed.

The latter stems from my Grannie making me wear an itchy tweed coat when I was little. It made me feel sick.

Men with too much stuff in their trouser pockets. The silhouette makes me heave.

Men's bare toes on show in sandals out in public or women if they have dirty long toe nails makes me want to pull my eyes out 🤮 wet wool , over exaggerated smiles and hand movements when some stage school kids preform, people who look unwashed
