Where do you put clothes that have only been once and will be worn again that week?

I don’t really like putting clothes away again if I’ve worn them but struggling to think of something that doesn’t end with a whole heap of clothes out making the room look messy before they end up in the laundry bag.

Is it mad to not put stuff away? Interested to hear in others routines / storage solutions.

I’m slightly worried I’ll now be judged for wearing a pair of trousers twice before washing, like the towels threads! If I don’t come back, you know why.

I wear leggings like maybe 4 times before washing

LuciferRising · 13/01/2024 14:01

Just hang them back up and stop worrying about the small stuff ?

Cheeesus · 13/01/2024 14:01

If it’s something I wear twice, I put it back in the wardrobe but with the hanger facing the wrong way. If it’s more than twice I just put it back and try and remember to wash sporadically.

On a chair in my bedroom

BobnLen · 13/01/2024 14:02

On an overdoor hanger in the spare bedroom, DH shoves his on a chair in the bedroom, annoyingly.

peppapigpeppa · 13/01/2024 14:02

chairdrobe!

skyeisthelimit · 13/01/2024 14:03

wooden towel rail

BaronessBomburst · 13/01/2024 14:03

Anything needing hanging goes on a hanger on the screen partition.
Anything else draped over a chair.

teudent · 13/01/2024 14:03

I don't wear anything twice. I probably still do less washing than the majority of you as I rarely go out so clothes hardly get worn.

ZoeyBartlett · 13/01/2024 14:03

Chair of doom!

BringMeSunshine48 · 13/01/2024 14:04

I just hang them back in my wardrobe. Sometimes give them a quick spritz of Fabreze (I know a lot of MN's hate this though 😂)
I generally wear items 2/3 times before washing.

BobnLen · 13/01/2024 14:04

DHs chairobe is very high and I often suspect there is something very grubby at the bottom

soupfiend · 13/01/2024 14:04

Back in the drawer or wardrobe of course

Why wouldnt you

What do you think is going to happen?

AyeRightYeAre · 13/01/2024 14:05

I have a clothes horse in my room that I hang them on

SmallestInTheClass · 13/01/2024 14:05

Back of the chair in my bedroom or back in the wardrobe. I keep one end of my wardrobe for 'worn once' things. If it needs a bit of air then hang overnight on a hanger outside the wardrobe. I'm trying to wear stuff more times before washing to help the environment (and the energy bill).

But you must wear clothes in the house and take them off for bed

So you sit around naked?

ChanelQuiltedBag · 13/01/2024 14:05

I’m not a clean freak I just think I’ll forget when I last wore it.

I have a chair of doom already! Trying to avoid it Grin

In a fabric storage box in the wardrobe.

Chilicabbage · 13/01/2024 14:06

I put them inside out into the wardrobe. So unworn is normal, worn inside out.

murasaki · 13/01/2024 14:06

Over the side of, but not in, the laundry basket.

happypillsareworking · 13/01/2024 14:07

@soupfiend that's what I was thinking 🤣

I hang them on a hanger on my curtain rails
