How did you get your last bruise?

I have one on my finger from pulling a cloth out of the machine and hitting it on the inside of the drum of the tumble drier above. Fucking weird turn of events!

Also sporting a small one on my head from hitting my head on the bathroom sink when pulling my jeans up about 10 minutes later. No idea how tbh

I'm visually impaired in my right eye and despite that having been the case for donkeys years I cannot seem to train my brain to not bump into the door frame, so I have a perpetual bruise on my right shoulder.

Crunchingleaf · 10/01/2024 21:17

Toddler gave me a bruised and swollen lip with a book. It was an accident and not in middle of a tantrum.

Wibblywobblylikejelly · 10/01/2024 21:19

I was play fighting with the kids and my 4 year old decided to Stome Cold facing Steve Austin me.
Girls bloody savage.

Tripped on a baby toy on the floor in the bathroom.

1 year old head butted me while we were playing and now I have a lovely big bruise on my cheek.

Dishwasher door here too 😩

And me. Bastard thing.

Toddler has two on her hip from bed frame. I saw the second one happen so, whilst proper ouchy, at least it solved the mystery of the first.

Doingitalloveragain · 10/01/2024 21:36

Fell off a ladder getting the Xmas lights down last week. Hit my face so a lovely bruise on my cheek, both knees black and blue and pretty sure I broke my little finger... Next year it's dps job

drspouse · 10/01/2024 22:09

DS threw a shoe at me because I told him pulling his sister's hair meant no TV.

Lesina · 10/01/2024 22:11

back of my hand. Silly horse spooked at a bird and slammed my hand into a gate. The bird didn’t eat the horse sadly :(

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 10/01/2024 22:13

Walking into thing, banging calf/thigh on ends if beds, bits of furniture. Arm on door frames. I've become very clumsy.

IrritableVowel · 10/01/2024 22:29

Usually from one of the dogs walking across my thighs, but most recent is from a night out over Christmas when a man accidentally stood back on to my foot, so I got the full weight of him on the side of my ankle. Still black from the shape/weight of his shoe

blackheartsgirl · 10/01/2024 22:42

I bruised my knee cap on a door frame. It bloody hurt!!

Blanketpolicy · 10/01/2024 22:47

Clattered shin off corner of open dishwasher door. Swore A LOT. 🤬🤬🤬 Broke skin and huge bruise.

justasking111 · 10/01/2024 22:47

I've found bruises from watch, bangle in the morning on my wrist or hands. Otherwise I'm always baffled.

Cleanbedsheets · 10/01/2024 22:50

I have one just below my knee from the dodgems at a fair on new years eve

DatingDinosaur · 10/01/2024 23:56

On my shin from climbing a 5 bar gate (to avoid the massive puddle where the stile is).

icallitasplodge · 10/01/2024 23:57

Mine just appear on me. It’s on a thigh so probably walking in to the corner of something.

GothConversionTherapy · 11/01/2024 00:06

Large and on the inside of my calf, origin unknown 🤔

Woofygoldberg · 11/01/2024 00:07

Unexplained bruises the norm for me...ADHD clumsiness/lack of Spacial awareness to blame.

Last one I knew about was getting into my car, got foot caught when the door swung to, pulled my foot out of door and clattered my shin on the steering wheel.

Didn't bruise, but I headbutted the wardrobe bending down last week. It has been there for at least 15yrs.

LauderSyme · 11/01/2024 00:10

Banged my shin on ds' bed whilst tucking him in.

I keep walking into the same table at work, bashing my thigh and bruising the same spot every time. Now there's a permanent pale brown splodgy mark there. Does that just happen with age or does anyone know why?

freezerchickensoup · 11/01/2024 00:15

I manage to take a little chunk out of my finger while trying to slice potatoes using a vegetable chopper. When my hand slipped and I suddenly saw the blood, I jumped back and while trying to grab a teatowel, somehow bashed my elbow on a cupboard door. I now have a finger with a chunk missing and a bruised elbow/upper arm. I'm an idiot.

TannedFrombirth · 11/01/2024 00:36

Blood test on Monday. Didn't realise till I got home the darn phlebotomist stuck the needle in a stretch mark on my vein on my arm.. ouch! The area is still quite raised and bruised.

Catsmere · 11/01/2024 01:41

A heavy cat landing on me. I get lots of bruises that way.

Sounds like your username is mildly inaccurate. No mere cat, that! 😁

Bwahahahaha!

It's a weak knitting pun - catsmere instead of cashmere. All my knitting has catsmere in it whatever the main yarn component is. 🐱🧶
