What are your DH's hobbies?

I see a lot of threads that mention that a DH ominously has a "hobby"...I feel like it would sometimes add a bit of context to thread subject if we knew what the hobby was?

Snowboarding is pretty different to stamp collecting

Taxidermy is different to badger baiting

Etc

Do you hate it??? Do you think its weird??? Do you not gaf??

What does your DH do??

(I am also a 40 Yr old bloke so kinda nosey as to what other men have as hobbies. I hate sports and I guess my main hobby is reading??)

Gaming & gym for my DH.

StepIntoChristmasAgain · 02/01/2024 17:55

Ah, but don't forget that nobody can say what the hobby is because it would be too outing.

9/10 it's either golf or cycling.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 02/01/2024 18:00

Exercise - he's a Peloton addict and he also referees weird sport some nights and weekends.

Idk why people are always so cageyu when it's a boring hobby. I'd give at least some kind of lie saying that DH officiates Curling or something.

Popetthetreehugger · 02/01/2024 18:02

Golf , tennis, pickle ball . A boat . Reading . Swimming . Just retiring so holidays

Thediminishedwoman · 02/01/2024 18:05

Darts, gym and coaching our son’s football team. I wish he enjoyed reading as it’s one of my hobbies.

Toomuch44 · 02/01/2024 18:09

Gym, reading, hill walking, racing and fair weather cycling. Nothing wrong with reading, I do it myself.

Mumoftwoboysaged4and5 · 02/01/2024 18:10

Magic the gathering (card game) and warhammer (painting models). He also loves reading and doesn’t like sports 😃

mynameiscalypso · 02/01/2024 18:10

Running. And work; does that count?!

PuttingDownRoots · 02/01/2024 18:11

Warhammer
Rugby coaching
Scout leader

Warhammer he has made a good business out of though. (3D printing)

Kwam31 · 02/01/2024 18:11

Angling, Bowls, plays in a poker league. We've just bought bikes so will be doing that together.

BringMeSunshine48 · 02/01/2024 18:16

Boxing. Gym.
Ad hoc, when he's feeling like he's eaten too much 😂

afaloren · 02/01/2024 18:16

Board games, video games (we are both gamers so no resentment), miniature painting, audiobooks. He’s always doing something. Works really hard too. We don’t have kids so plenty of time for us to amuse ourselves.

Ilovelurchers · 02/01/2024 18:19

Motorbikes, dog ownership (does that count as a hobby?), gardening, watching most sports, reading (non-fiction mostly).

He is self employed and his job is effectively a hobby that makes money - he is a type of antique dealer.

OfCourseIStillLoveYou · 02/01/2024 18:20

Sword fighting (HEMA). I like that he likes it and is good at it. It's good exercise!

twistyizzy · 02/01/2024 18:25

DH has no hobbies because I have them all 🤣. Seriously my hobbies are so time consuming (horses + working gundogs) that he only has chance/time to play darts once a week during the week. In my defence he has never had any, even before we got together.

HeadacheEarthquake · 02/01/2024 18:26

Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Judo! Keeps him out of mischief!

Listentogold · 02/01/2024 18:39

Bowls, pool and snooker.
Bowls changed our lives.

IntheSnowySnowyMountains · 02/01/2024 18:45

Walking, repairing old hi-fi, jigsaw puzzles (especially old ones!).

DaughterTroubles · 02/01/2024 18:47

Radio controlled sailing boats - 4 mornings a week!

BluePinkPurple · 02/01/2024 18:48

Warhammer - the painting more than the game-play and Lego

RokaandRoll · 02/01/2024 18:50

Playing chess, listening to and playing classical and jazz music, astronomy, learning Scots Gaelic, writing novels and screenplays, reading.

CuteOrangeElephant · 02/01/2024 18:52

Gaming, going to the gym and he's beginning to pick up a Warhammer hobby.

Bananalanacake · 02/01/2024 18:54

Collecting a famous construction toy that comes from Denmark, it's how we met, so I'm happy for him to spend time and money on it.

Favouritefruits · 02/01/2024 18:55

My Dhs hobbies are triathlon and Warhammer, both very costly and need a lot of time spent on them which means nothing left for me and the children! So yes I hate it with a passion!

LadySlipper · 02/01/2024 18:55

Pooping.
