If anyone gets it then they are a genius! Can’t remember any lyrics or who it’s by but it’s a female singer, very similar vibes to moonlight shadow by Mike oldfield. Maybe about a failed relationship but I can’t remember. So basically I’m asking what songs are like moonlight shadow 😂
the longest shot ever I know…

I Blame you for the Moonlit sky, Tamsin Archer?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 01/01/2024 00:27

Judy Tzuke.... Stay with me 'til dawn?

Bananalanacake · 01/01/2024 00:30

And while we're at it can anyone help with mine, it's 80s, female singer, the chorus is 'Domino, dominoes, everything is you',,,
I'd be amazed if anyone knows it, but I've had help with songs before.

Is the first song that's like Moonlight Shadow "Pearl's a Singer" by Elkie Brooks?

IGotItFromAgnes · 01/01/2024 00:44

This always reminds me of Moonlight Shadow for some reason

Otherwise I was going to suggest something by Martina McBride (Independence Day, maybe) but I think she was more 90s

Everywomen · 01/01/2024 00:54

Oh god now I’m thinking it might not even be a woman singing, but I really think so. I think I’ve remembered that it ends with the guy having done something bad like killing his partner or being violent in some way and knowing he is going to jail
but now im doubting myself and driving myself mad and maybe all of you too! Thanks for all the suggestions and im glad such a good playlist has been created!! Happy new year!

That's called Sleeping Satellite.

JaneJeffer · 01/01/2024 01:00

Or...all together now

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 01/01/2024 01:00

I've always thought Sleeping Satellite was a bit like Moonlight Shadow...

and possibly Natalie Imbruglia; Torn or the other one she did.

Habreathmint · 01/01/2024 01:00

Definitely Hazard. I love it, so chilling but brilliant.

BunnyBunnyJabberJabber · 01/01/2024 01:06

Lilac Wine by Elkie Brookes?

Everywomen · 01/01/2024 01:10

No, afraid not. Def not hazard but this song does tell a story I think in the same way that hazard does.
sorry everyone!

Is it a song you made up as a child? And thus have you perhaps missed your calling as a songwriter? 😛

JaneJeffer · 01/01/2024 01:15

Delilah
