Worst clothes fashion trends of the last 30 years?

What do you think the worst fashion trends have been over the last 30 years?

I was watching a BBC drama set in the early 2000s, and it reminded me that I once wore a tight pencil skirt with tight knee high boots. I think pencil skirts were the worst, largely because they were so uncomfortable.

Trainers, floral dress, denim jacket and cross body bag, the most ubiquitous look that became a uniform.

Banana clips and the cones for the high, stand up ponytails.

I remember those, along with paper bag trousers, flying suits and brightly coloured large framed plastic glasses. Little stick on stars on the cheek bone and a fine headband tied around the forehead. Late 80's.

I think a lot of the clothes sort of 2007-2015ish. Uggs and waterfall cardigans, men in skinny jeans, tshirts and waistcoats, massive heeled shoes and tulip skirts.

Also the ponytail with two bits of hair dangling down at the front around 1998.

The current trend for voluminous, saggy, floral sacks.

Cold shoulder tops

(I've bought very few clothes in recent years)

Ballet flats (impossible to move in)

Hipster jeans- fortunately they pre-dated my CS overhang which would render them impossible to wear.
Tunics were very well timed for the early days of having a squishy mum-tum.

This thread has made me feel so old 😂 I loved my ponytail with skinny ‘curtain’ bangs each side, bleached with Sun In, and worn with low slung cargo trousers, buffalo boots / converse, and a crop top. I recon that was the last time I was fashionable, and it was a very long time ago 😂

When I first started going out the trend was office wear Blush we looked ridiculous is smart blouses, black trousers and very high heels!

I remember this well, I quite liked it and didn't see anything wrong with it apart from the high heels bit. I like a shiny shirt. However I think that going out at night clothes tend to be the opposite of what you wear during the day. If you work in an office you might wear jeans and casual clothes to go out while if you wear casual clothes or a uniform to work you would wear smart clothes in the evening.

Showing my age but I was wearing dresses with trainers in the early 90s (with adidas gazelles) so definitely think it'll be round again.
