Just about to look for a new diary. Anyone have anything to share they’ve already bought? Halo

Mine's a basic Tesco day to page spiral bound one - nice cos I can pull out the bajillion totally irrelevant pages for me (no I do not want to plan my meals in there or record my spending). Needs to be A5 for me as I take my diary out and about on work visits and I tend to swap between an academic year one and then a calendar year as they get too battered to last a whole year decently and I tend to do things like stick appointment letters into the relevant pages.

Helloandgoodmorning2 · 28/12/2023 11:17

I have an A5 Hobonichi Techo as my main planner, I love the different layouts within it, plus the whole day to a page. I am using an A6 Hobonichi in a Box Clever zipped case this year as I couldn’t get a little Box Clever one. I also have an A5 leather filofax that I use as a home journal (Flylady zones, cleaning lists, home project planning etc) I love my stationery!

I have this one from Papier

https://www.papier.com/italian-summer-45158

It's lovely, good quality pages and every month has a page of to do's and goals.

Would highly recommend, I have added my referral code to the referral board if anyone needs one (£10 off on a £25 spend), which brings this diary down to £15.

I am fully digital/ electronic but I really miss my Filofax. Seriously thinking of treating myself.

I'm a big Filofax fan, but switched to Moleskine Weekly Planner a few years back. The Pocket Size fits my handbag, and I find the 'diary on the left, notes on the right' format really handy. (I still have an A5 Filofax for everything non-diary though.)

I buy the 18 month version which runs from July to the following December. That way, when I get to November or so, I don't have to worry about eg my haircut being next year, my diary covers it.

My DD for the last couple of years has taken to buying me a Papier Mother of Pearl design A5 diary! And the best bit - it's personalised with my name in the front!!!
I do love the designs that I have received so far. And not wanting to sound ungrateful I asked her yesterday when is it blooming arriving as I'm itching to get writing in it with the colour coded pens not when I'm back at work
Hopefully it's arriving here tomorrow she said! I hop so too.

Deedippy · 28/12/2023 13:48

Mambi happy planner. Expensive but I love them. I buy an 18 month one every 12 months!

Yesididntdothat · 28/12/2023 13:52

First year for me of not buying a Leuchtturm as a bullet journal, as I realised I really like a spiral bound one that I can lie flat.

I'm almost 50 and new stationery still makes me very, very happy Grin

I’m over 50 and exactly the same! When my late dad was in his 80s he still appreciated a good pen-it never goes away!😂

@munchbunch12 LEUCHTTURM1917 367591 Daily Planner and I think the moleskine daily planner will do that with the times.

Seconding this... I get the one below every year
https://www.leuchtturm1917.co.uk/week-planner-english-1.html

Week Planner, english

• Master (A4+) 225 x 315 mm, Hardcover • Composition (B5) 178 x 254 mm, Hardcover • Medium (A5) 145 x 210 mm, Hardcover • Pocket (A6) 90 x 150...

Pigsears · 28/12/2023 17:47

A slightly obsessive leuchtturm fan here- but very disappointed this year with hardback A5 diary- colour of lines and writing darker (akin to moleskine), back pocket slightly too small to hold stickers and print quality off. I normally opt for soft cover- and have been buying diaries and note books from them for years., But this hardcover dark forest green 2024 week planner is not good - am hoping it doesn't foreshadow things to come in 2024. ... (Gosh I really have gone down a rabbit hole on this....)

RolyPolyBatFacedGirl · 28/12/2023 17:52

I buy the Circle Planner which is nice

Me too😁
Got a bit of a thing for stationery, so much so I have a (check me out)... 'stationery cupboard'...(sad little drawer in hall sideboard).
Was given a dinosaur sharpener for Christmas that roars when you use it & been busy with it for a couple of days now, wandering around the house sticking anything in it!
Am shamelessly sad but I'm beyond caring 😂

Another vote for boxclever, I've used them for the past four years but they've changed the layout now! Gutted but keping an eye out for something similar with the days laid out in vertical columns in a weekly spread if that makes sense, it was so good for lists

Maybe a bit expensive but Aspinal A5 week to view has a vertical layout.

OnBronze · 28/12/2023 19:00

Filofax all the way for me. I have an A5 Finsbury and just buy week to view refills each year. I've tried to switch to an annual diary occasionally - I also liked the Aspinall week to view leather diary and there was a US brand that I liked for a couple of years - but nothing beats a Filofax.

bridgetreilly · 28/12/2023 19:43

Over the years I’ve used Happy Planners, Hobonichi, Leuchterm, bullet journals and more. This year, a new-to-me ££££ Japanese diary, slightly smaller than A5, with yearly, 2xmonthly, and weekly spreads plus a good amount of other pages for notes and tracking.

Although next year I am going to try one from Muji that is very similar and a LOT cheaper. I do love the customisable cover on mine.

T1cTacT03 · 28/12/2023 19:47

Leuchtterm weekly planner for me. Weekly diary page on one side, notebook on the other having both each week is invaluable to me.

Britpopbaby · 28/12/2023 19:55

I saw some nice page per day ones in Asda today.

At 68 I don't work now so don't need one for that. I used to have a filofax and a lesson planner but the filofax never opened flat and could be annoying. My union used to provide us with a little diary which I kept in my handbag but they stopped doing that a few years ago.

This year I went all retro and bought a slimline pocket Letts diary - the one with the little gold pen in the spine. I like it so much I bought the address book and a notebook too, all with the little gold pen and was weirdly delighted that you can get refills for the pens too.

It's a fact that a love of stationery lasts for life!

I love my Filofax but trying a scribble and dot a6 mock croc skin diary this year. It arrived today and so far I’m thrilled with it!

SlightlyJaded · 28/12/2023 22:09

I get the same diary every year because I haven't found one that is better for me.

It's a Letts A5 soft cover. It's perfect because:
Soft Cover
A5
Cream paper that's lovely to write on
Week per page but a full facing page of notes every week
