Just being nosey.

We live pretty much equidistant between two.
Today, we went into Cambridge.

Which is the closest city to you?

Wakefield is actually closer than both, but I havn't quite hit my head round it being a city, even though it's been a while now!

Just the 130-odd years. Wakefield became a city a year before Birmingham did.

...and five years before Leeds.

Oh go on. We used to have meet ups in London years ago. I want to hear all about it!

York. Like it despite never having lived in a city before.

Right in the middle of Glasgow and Edinburgh but Stirling is slightly closer

Reading isn't a city. Although it was (and may still be) the largest town in England, I think.

Near Sheffield.

Edinburgh. We live near the coast but can be in town in 20mins. Best city in the world and I’ll never move.

Carlisle, though it barely counts. Nearest proper city is Newcastle.

Durham but my nearest city city with city things is Newcastle.

Dundee and I go there fairly regularly since it's the closest for M&S to my town. I always treat myself to a Taco Bell before doing my food shop in M&S.
