Ah I love sprouts so they’re often bought but agree with most of the others - no tv guide though , find them too overwhelming to read

Usually the Radio Times but found out today that its £5.50 this year and even the DC agreed that was too much so we're not getting it this year. Probably the first time we've not bought it.

Just checkd mine and I kid you not, 109 pages of articles and whatnot before you get to the schedules. Which are even worse than usual.

That's rubbish, so glad I didn't buy it. I only want the schedules not the articles. Everyone leafs through and marks up what they want to watch, old style.

Quirrelsotherface · 23/12/2023 15:36

Tinned strawberries, trifle sponges, after eights, matchsticks (mint) for the DC, Pringles, Bailey's, wensleydale cheese.

Quirrelsotherface · 23/12/2023 15:37

Oh just saw above, Radio Times. We did buy it this year as it's tradition but bit rubbish that it's so expensive now and doesn't cover as many days either!

ValkyrieAssassin · 23/12/2023 15:38

Not buying so much but making. Bread sauce. I adore bread sauce and only make it at Christmas even though we have a roast chicken at least 3 times a month.

MadeOfAllWork · 23/12/2023 15:39

I’m old enough to remember when you had to buy the TV Times and the Radio Times.

mrsbyers · 23/12/2023 15:47

I’ve never tried bread sauce , I really dislike cloves so I think that’s why plus it’s not really common in NE
